Impact Training can be more than box jumps!
There’s lots of talk about jump training on IG, and I’m here to say that you don’t have to go all in ala CrossFit style in order to get benefits in bone density and athletic development, especially if your body is telling you that jumping onto a box doesn’t seem that safe right now.
If it makes you feel better, I actually see a lot more improvement in skill, control and coordination when people slow things down a bit, and stop going for the showy exercises & focus on power and control instead.
Here are a few ideas if you want to improve your leg power, bone density (in the hips), and balance/coordination. Some are more intense, some are more fun- try them out & let me know which ones are your fave!
