Madison Plastic Surgery is led by board certified New York City plastic surgeon, Dr. Robert M. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.) and diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Tornambe has lectured in the United States as well as Europe, and is considered an expert in cosmetic facial and breast surgery. He was the only New York City-based plastic surgeon to appear on the ABC series Extreme Makeover. He has also appeared on Dateline, The Today Show, The Charlie Rose Show, Sally Jesse Rafael, and he has been listed in New York Magazine's "The Best Doctors in New York." In addition to more popular plastic surgery procedures, Dr. Tornambe also performs many revision or "re-do" surgeries for patients that are not satisfied with their results from past experiences with other surgeons. Dr. Tornambe specializes and maintains a track record of success giving his patients the results they desire. As one of New York City's preeminent certified outpatient facilities, Madison Care is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Plastic Surgery Facilities (AAAAPSF). AAAAPSF accredited plastic surgery facilities are rigorously inspected and evaluated. A set of strict standards must be met which assure the patient of a commitment to safety and efficiency of the facility and equipment. The accredited facility must be in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal codes for fire safety, sanitation and building for the protection of the patient and the medical personnel. The plastic surgery facility must also adhere to federal laws and regulations affecting its operation such as OSHA blood borne pathogen standards, hazardous waste standards and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Plastic surgery procedures require the most advanced instruments and monitoring devices.
