“Why does my body feel like it’s always in pain?”
It might not be in your head, it might be your nervous system stuck on high alert.
This is called Central Sensitization, when your body’s pain alarm keeps going off, even when there’s no real danger. Think of it like a faulty car alarm reacting to everything... wind, traffic, or nothing at all.

This happens often with:
Endometriosis
Bladder pain
Pelvic floor tension
Chronic pelvic pain

At PRM, we help retrain your body’s alarm system using our PRM Protocol™, to calm irritated nerves, relax tight muscles, and support long-term healing.

Not all bowel symptoms mean bowel endometriosis.
Many people with endometriosis experience bowel issues, but that doesn’t always mean the disease has affected the bowel itself. In fact, conditions like IBS or IBD can cause similar symptoms.

Dr. Amro Elfeky, our gynecologic surgeon in Dallas, often hears misconceptions from patients, like assuming surgery is needed just because imaging shows bowel involvement, or thinking surgery should fix all symptoms immediately. The truth is surgery is usually only needed if symptoms are impacting quality of life, and even then, it’s just one part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

At PRM, we focus on personalized care that addresses the full picture, because endometriosis is complex, and managing symptoms often requires more than just surgery.

Swipe through to learn the facts, clear up common myths, and better understand what bowel endometriosis really means.

When symptoms overlap, everything intensifies.
Heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, fatigue, bloating, it’s hard enough managing one condition, but when fibroids and adenomyosis occur together, the symptoms don’t just add up, they compound. Pain gets worse. Periods get heavier. Diagnosis gets delayed. That’s why understanding how these conditions interact is so important. Real relief starts with the right answers.

Endometriosis isn’t just a “bad period.”
It’s a complex condition that can impact multiple systems in the body, not just the reproductive organs.

Lesions can appear on the bowel, bladder, diaphragm, and beyond.
Symptoms go far beyond pelvic pain: fatigue, GI issues, painful s*x, infertility, migraines, anxiety, and more.
And even with the best care, some people experience something called central sensitization, when the nervous system becomes so reactive, pain continues even after lesions are removed.

At PRM, we take a whole-body approach to treating endo.
Because it’s not just about managing periods, it’s about supporting the nervous system, reducing inflammation, and helping you get your life back.

When someone is flaring, compassion matters more than advice.
Some things people say during a flare sound supportive… but don’t feel that way.
“You seemed fine yesterday.”
“Have you tried yoga?”
“It’s probably just stress.”

Even when it’s well-meaning, it can feel dismissive. When you’re in pain, the last thing you want is to be questioned or minimized.
Here’s what actually helps:
“I believe you.”
“What do you need?”
“You don’t owe anyone an explanation.”

Flares are real, even when you can’t see them.
Sometimes the most powerful support is just showing up and listen.

Dr. Elfeky breaks it down:
When it comes to fibroid surgery, there’s no one-size-fits-all.
From myomectomy (removing fibroids while preserving the uterus) to hysterectomy (removing the uterus entirely), the right option depends on multiple factors, like your age, symptoms, fertility goals, and the number and size of fibroids. He also explains the pros and cons of minimally invasive vs. open procedures, and what might increase the risk of recurrence.

If you're navigating fibroid treatment, know that you're not alone. At PRM, we’re here to help you understand your options and find a path that supports your goals.

What is a bulky uterus? 🤔
Dr. Touchan recently talked about it, and now we’re here to break it down.

A “bulky uterus” might sound vague, but it’s often the result of conditions like fibroids or adenomyosis. And while it’s commonly brushed off, it can come with symptoms that deeply affect your daily life.

In his recent talk, Dr. Touchan explained that a bulky uterus isn’t just about size, it can lead to things like bladder pressure, bowel issues, pain, fatigue, and even complications with fertility or future surgery.

In this post, we’re unpacking what it really means to have a bulky uterus, why it happens, how it feels, and what your options are if you’re struggling with it.
Whether you’re hoping to preserve fertility or just feel like yourself again, you deserve a plan that addresses the whole picture. And that starts with understanding what’s actually going on.

Fibroids are like knots in a garden hose.
They block the flow, build pressure, and throw everything out of balance. These non-cancerous growths in the uterus can cause pain, heavy bleeding, pelvic floor tension, and nerve irritation.

For some, a hysterectomy or fibroid removal may be the right path. But even then, pain can linger. That’s where the PRM Protocol™ comes in.
✅ Relieves pelvic floor tightness from fibroid pressure
✅ Calms inflammation from irritation or degeneration
✅ Desensitizes nerves impacted by fibroids

Whether you’re exploring options before surgery, or managing symptoms after, our non-surgical, in-office treatments are designed to restore comfort and function.

Relief is possible. And it doesn’t always mean surgery. 💙
