2016 Jen

Full on baby wearing mom of two mode. Only two pictures of just me and they’re selfies. Midnight cookie & cake baker. Wannabe Pinterest mom. Smiling but suffering inside. Came to terms and decided to deal with the PPD I had been carrying since 2012. Occasionally attempted aesthetic photos but was mostly too tired.

2025 was weird.

Big beautiful moments but also lots of quiet ones and more hard ones than I’d like. Lots of time spent on my own, solo parenting or resting from it. Some of it lonely, but not all of it.

Learning to embrace the peace in the quiet. Knowing it’s what allows me to be able to enjoy the big beautiful moments.

The end of a year will never not feel weird in this new version of me, but it’s always fun to look back.

In 2025 we said goodbye to Lennon, took our first big mountain ski trip, I swung a few golf clubs, celebrated birthdays, saw quite a few shows, braved a festival with the boys, danced more contemporary, tried burlesque, danced with some of my favourite people, brought the boys for their first fine dining meal, visited NYC and saw not nearly enough of my ladies.

Here’s to a gentle 2026 full of love, health and lots and lots of creativity and adventure.

Super delayed post about the amazing silly, sassy and sessy YDC 10 show!

Dancing with is always a dream. The teachers and dancers attracts are my kind of people.

Loved only having one dance and silly moments backstage with friends.

Thanks to .gq for capturing the moments.

Just grateful for a day of silliness and dance.

Introducing my burlesque alter ego…

💖Mae B. Busty💖

Her debut performance was at show Dizney After Dark in collaboration with at .cabaret

This was not on my 2025 bucket list or anything I thought I’d be doing at 48, but boy was it fun!

I’m not sure when or if she’ll be performing again. But I had a blast trying her on for one night only and am so thankful for my fellow performers and my burlesque mamas for helping me find the burlesque performer inside.

And it truly never would’ve happened without the ultimate dance/burlesque mama for the pep talks, boa crafting, name brainstorming, listening ear as I crashed out and so much more.

Just a reminder to do the thing that scares you. Do the thing that makes you feel alive. Be a beginner at something.
