Dr. Freund offers 3 types of breast lifts: the Goes Technique, the Lejour Technique, & the Tear Drop Augmentation Mastopexy (a lift with an implant). For patients seeking a lift without an implant, deciding which one is right for them depends on the extent of sagging.

For example, the Lejour technique is ideal for type III sagging and pseudoptosis, as well as to those who have type II sagging but wish to have fuller, more youthful looking breasts that are possible with the Göes technique.

Lower eyelid surgery is the most complicated eye procedure for two reasons:

1) The eye needs to lubricate itself and,
2) The muscles that give the eyelid its shape are extremely delicate.

This is why lower eyelid surgery should only be performed by experts in the field.

To remove “creepy skin” beneath the eyes Dr. Freund prefers a procedure that requires a tiny incision just under the lashes and that is near impossible to detect.

To remove excess skin and muscle, the incision is expanded to include the muscle. Skin is excised and the muscle is repositioned to where it should be.

To remove large bags, Dr. Freund uses the Transconjuctival procedure, which is optimal for someone with the excess fat that causes bulges in the lower eyelid.

A small incision is made inside the lower eyelid, and the fat is delicately removed. This is the safest of the lower eyelid options: No stitching is required and the healing occurs quickly.

There are many different types of facelifts available today. When you’re researching your different options you might hear one called a “skin-only facelift”. The problem with a skin-only facelift is that it only tightens the skin but does not address the deep underlying tissues, which will stretch out the skin in a very short period of time.

Dr. Freund prefers a Vertical Lift and volume enhancements when necessary with fat grafting. When the deep tissues are tightened as the primary therapy, the results appear more natural (less pulling) and more durable. Additionally, the incision with a Vertical Lift is under less stress and thus the scars will heal better and become much less noticeable.
