We are so proud to announce our co-owner Dr. Jasmine Narayan is selling her family bonding coloring books on her website! Link in our bio.

Moms have been coloring with their kids since the dawn of crayons, but never before has a coloring book been made specifically for this purpose. In the stunningly beautiful and innovative Color with Me, Mom!, you can easily color “side by side” with your child and create a beautiful scene together (you take one page, and your child gets the opposite page).

Featuring fifty incredible artworks divided into kid-friendly chapters, such as Imagination, School, and Relationships, artist Hannah Davies has created a whimsical coloring journey that moms and kids will love to color . . . together.

Accompanied by advice from Jasmine Narayan Psy.D., you can learn the best ways to connect with your child through coloring, conversation starters for kids who don’t easily share their feelings, and how to keep the conversation going. Quality time counts, and this is the perfect book for moms who love to color and spend time with their kids.

What is going on during my child’s therapy session?

As a parent you may be wondering and asking this question. Most likely your child’s therapist has explained the process, but now that you have a moment to relax, it may seem like a blur now. It can be difficult to remember exactly what play therapy is and you may be feeling anxious about the whole thing—this is your baby after all.

Is it just playing and talking? Yes, and so much more!

Here are the the main takeaways translated into parent/caregiver-friendly language to help you know what is going on in your child’s play therapy sessions. Visit https://createoutcomes.com/Is-Play-Enough for our full article.

We wanted to share a short reflection exercise we completed at our recent Healing the Heart: Women’s Fire Circle Retreat in Ventura, CA. Take 10 minutes to think about the roles you have played in your life - socially, emotionally and physically. It may be helpful to further divide these roles based on different life stages such as your childhood self and adult self. Write these roles down and reflect on their significance using the three question prompt in the final slide.

If you enjoyed this short self-reflection, join The Hive community for free at createoutcomes.com/the-hive. Through free seasonal mindfulness virtual meetups, weekly group guided imagery sessions and retreats, The Hive offers opportunities for you to make peace with the past and actively envision your future.
