There is a specific kind of tension in the air this April. As the rain washes the dust of a long winter from the streets and the pollen begins to settle on every surface, many of us are feeling a strange, heavy duality.

We are expected to “bloom” and “renew,” yet we are carrying a cumulative exhaustion from a world that moves faster than our hearts were ever designed to beat.

Dr. King’s messages of love are radical— to this day his words still ring true when it comes to love, fear, and freedom.

Many find that non violence can be difficult in the face of fear; but as long as understanding, awareness, and clarity are present, we can practice creating the least amount of harm.

imagine if we all took a breath before moving into action. meditation is a tool that can help us all be more present with ourselves and each other.

if you haven’t don’t anything else for today, take a moment to breathe.
