I’ve been watching the venerable monks walking—thousands of miles, step by step—
There is so much emotion in witnessing this walk, the overwhelming support—humility, gratitude, awe. Hope.
They carry very little & rely on presence rather than certainty. Each step is deliberate. Each mile an act of humility. There is no rushing, only a commitment to keep going.
They walk to simplify. To remove excess. To meet life exactly as it is. They are walking for peace.
Peace within themselves by releasing comfort & control. And peace for the world by embodying it, not preaching it.
It reminds me so much of what we do in this room. Their walk is a moving meditation while uncomfortable, without distractions. Our practice is the same. We step into a heated room. We sweat A LOT. We stay when the mind wants to leave. We breathe when the body wants to react. We learn humility. patience, integrity. We learn to let go.
Transforms does not come from force, but from devotion—one step, one breath, one moment at a time. Some things don’t ask to be explained. They ask to be felt. 🤍🔥
