Stigma often thrives in silence and misinformation. It can make the simple act of asking for help feel like a mountain to climb.

For today’s , let’s take a moment to look inward and examine the stories we’ve been told—and the ones we tell ourselves—about what it means to struggle and what it means to heal.

¡Bienvenidos a mayo!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! 💚

Established in 1949, this month is dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and fighting the stigma that often surrounds mental health challenges.

Why does it matter?

Because mental health is health. It impacts how we think, feel, and act every single day. By sharing resources and stories, we remind each other that no one has to navigate their journey alone.

How you can support the movement this month:

• Educate: Take some time to learn about different mental health conditions or systemic barriers to care.
• Check-In: Reach out to a friend or colleague. A simple “How are you really doing?” goes a long way.
• Share Resources: Post links to hotlines, sliding-scale clinics, or your favorite mental health tools.
• Prioritize You: Model healthy boundaries and self-care.

You can’t pour from an empty cup!

Let’s continue to build a world where seeking help is seen as a sign of strength, not a weakness. 🌿✨

Celebrating all the ways love shows up. / Celebrando todas las formas en que se manifiesta el amor.

To the mamas, the abuelas, and the mentors who guide us—thank you. To those mothering themselves today, we see your strength.🌸

They told us “la ropa sucia se lava en casa,” but carrying it all alone just makes the load heavier.

In our community, “being strong” has often meant staying silent. But I’m here to tell you: healing is the ultimate act of strength. When we name our struggles, we stop them from being passed down to the next generation.

Normalizing mental health isn’t about being “loco”—it’s about being human. It’s about trading “no es para tanto” for “estoy contigo.”

✨ THE CHALLENGE: Don’t wait for a crisis to talk. Today, reach out to one person close to you—a sibling, a prima, or a friend—and tell them how you’ve actually been feeling. No “I’m fine” allowed.

Let’s start the cycle of speaking up. Who are you checking in with today? 👇

We often frame people-pleasing as just “being helpful,” but from a clinical perspective, it’s frequently a survival strategy—a way to stay safe by avoiding conflict.

Transitioning from a “reflexive yes” to an authentic choice takes time and practice.

In this video, I’m breaking down three tangible ways to start reclaiming your time:

1️⃣ The Power of the Pause
2️⃣ Normalizing the “Soft No”
3️⃣ Sitting with the Discomfort

I’d love to hear from you:

Which of these feels the hardest to do in the moment?

Let’s discuss in the comments. 👇

Healing can be a community effort, but it starts with the individual.

In many of our communities, there’s an unspoken pressure to “stay strong” and “just push through.” But there is so much strength in saying, “I need a safe space to process this.”

This Self-Care Sunday, let’s challenge the idea that therapy “isn’t for us.” It is for you. It is for me. It is for anyone who deserves to feel whole and heard.

Let’s make the conversation about mental health as common as the conversation about our Sunday dinner.

What’s one myth about therapy you’re glad you moved past? Tell me in the comments ⬇️

So eternally grateful for all the love and support I get on here!

They say the world runs on coffee, and this corner of the internet is no exception! ☕️

I love showing up here to share, learn, and grow with all of you. If you’ve ever felt like “I owe this person a drink” after a helpful post, now’s your chance! Scan this QR code if you’d like to support the work I do here.

No pressure, always appreciated. Cheers to keeping the conversation going!

Is your “Yes” costing you your peace?

People-pleasing isn’t just “being nice”—it’s a chronic habit of putting everyone else’s needs, expectations, and validation above your own well-being. Over time, that “yes” leads to:

• Emotional burnout
• A loss of identity
• Quiet resentment

It’s time to trade performance for authenticity. Follow along as we dive into how to set firm boundaries, reclaim your time, and recover from the people-pleasing cycle.
