Jeanene Wolfe,LCSW: Peer Consultation Groups for Therapists & Psychotherapy Offering Small Group Peer Consultation for mental health therapists and The Colleague Down the Hall podcast so you can get the clinical support you need!

The CollabOasis Peer Consultation Groups offer closed, facilitated groups of 6-8 fully licensed clinicians who meet virtually twice a month to get consultation on cases, discuss ethics, get business tips and resources, and most importantly, have a safe place to find support and connection with colleagues. There is also a members-only FB group which provides a wrap-around community, social wellness opportunities and additional resources so therapists can continue doing the work they love without loneliness or burnout. The focus of this community is on supporting each other and creating a place of benevolence to establish trust and build each other up.

Today, we pause and embrace gratitude.

It doesn’t have to be something big—sometimes it’s the quiet cup of coffee, the laugh of a client, or the moment you finally take a breath. ☕💛

What are you grateful for today? Drop it in the comments—we’d love to hear. ✨

🎙️ Episode 81 is here! This one’s a personal one.

I’m pulling back the curtain to share my journey into solo private practice—what it looked like, the challenges I faced, and how I found the peer support we all need to sustain this work.

I’ll also take you “behind the scenes” on how the idea for live, fictionalized case consultation came to life, and why clinical consultation is so essential for our growth as therapists. Plus, I share some do’s and don’ts for group consultation and how I prep a group of therapists to dig into a fictionalized case.

One thing I remind myself (and others) often is this: the most important thing we can do in consultation is get curious and ask questions. Instead of judging or assuming, curiosity opens the door to seeing the bigger picture.

If you’ve ever wondered how to strengthen your practice through meaningful consultation, this episode is for you.

Grad school trained you to say “yes” to everyone and everything — every client, every hour, every late-night note.

Private practice teaches you something different: you get to choose.

You get to work with the clients you serve best.
You get to build a schedule that supports your brain, your body, and your life.

You’re not less committed to the work — you’re just not sacrificing yourself for it anymore.

Let me remind you of something important today, friend.

No matter where you are in your career—just starting out, feeling stuck, or thriving—you are not behind.

✨ You are more than competent.
✨ You help people every single day.
✨ And yes, you deserve your own kindness too.

Take a breath. You’re doing better than you think. 💛

You care deeply for your clients—but what about you? 💬

It’s time to pause and check in with yourself. When’s the last time you assessed your own personal and business needs the way you do for everyone else?

You remind your clients that they can’t pour from an empty cup… and the same is true for you. 🫖✨

🎙️ Episode 84 is here! And it’s packed with insight for therapists navigating private practice.

I sat down with Becca Ferguson, LPC, to hear her journey from ministry into the therapy world—and the challenges she’s faced along the way. We talk about building sustainable practices, tackling the taboo of therapists earning money, and the very real toll the pandemic has taken on our profession.

Becca also shares why so many therapists struggle with documentation (and why “protecting the client” in your notes also means protecting your license). Her documentation course, part of this year’s TheraBundle, walks therapists step-by-step through creating treatment plans that back up a diagnosis without being “mean” in the notes—making paperwork less overwhelming and more protective.

If you’ve ever felt lost in the paperwork pile, stressed about financial sustainability, or just curious about TheraBundle’s resources, this episode is a must-listen.

You can’t pour from an empty cup — and you shouldn’t have to.
Sustainable scheduling isn’t about being less committed to your clients, it’s about being more committed to showing up as your best self.

💡 That’s why it matters to:
1️⃣ Know your limit for back-to-back sessions.
2️⃣ Build in breaks (and yes, an actual lunch).
3️⃣ Set your schedule — and honor it.

Your needs aren’t an afterthought. They’re part of the equation.

Whether you thrive with a set schedule or prefer the freedom to go with the flow, having clarity about how you work best can save you from unnecessary stress.

Some therapists love the predictability of a strict calendar with recurring clients.
Others feel more energized leaving space for flexibility week to week.

There’s no “right” way — only the way that supports you and the work you do.

How does your week look right now?
