Dr. Carlos Alfonso is a board certified prostodontist who began his career in dentistry by obtaining his first Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) in the Dominican Republic. After graduation, he went on to attend New York University College of Dentistry, where he obtained his second DDS degree. He continued his training and completed his general practi

ce residency at Harlem Hospital, where he was asked to stay as chief resident. Dr. Alfonso later on attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he pursued a specialty certificate in Prosthodontics and became board certified. During his years at Columbia University, Dr. Afonso taught dental students and oversaw the literature review in fixed prosthodontics. Continuing to further his education with courses in Cosmetic Dentistry, implants and oral surgery. Practicing as a New York dentist for over 20 years. Working hard to ensure his patients only receive the best treatment possible. He has performed thousands of successful dental implants, helping his patients look better, speak and eat with more confidence, in the process achieving recognition as a leading implant expert. Today he lectures nationally on subjects involving complex cases in the fields of esthetics, implants, fixed prosthodontics and is involved in clinical research. Along with a multidisciplinary and multicultural staff working with the latest technology in a comfortable environment patients of all ages gain access to the highest quality of treatment available.

Hi everyone,
As the summer comes to an end, we are saying a temporary farewell to our fantastic interns, Damier Calkap, and Yeung, Cheuk Jennifer head back to college.

We would like to extent our sincere thanks for their hard work, and contributions over the past few months. They have been an invaluable part of our team, and their dedication has made a significant impact in our practice.

We’ve truly enjoyed having them in the office, and wish them all the best as they finish their studies. We are confident rhey have a bright future ahead and hope they will keep in touch.

Dental Professional’s Pledge

I, as a member of the dental profession, will keep this pledge and these stipulations.

Sooner or later, our time will come. We must continue enhancing our knowledge, and making our voices heard by teaching our futures generations the kind of footprints we want to leave in the world when we are gone.
We must prepare them to be kind, strong, and believe in themselves .
It was an amazing weekend with professionals who love what they do. In difficult times, they have chosen to fight and not cave in. People who also have chosen to walk alway, not as a sign of weakness, but strength.

This summer, Dr. Alfonso had the privilege of completing THE VERTICAL COURSE- Advanced bone regeneration techniques in Implant Therapy at the Urban’s Institute in Budapest, Hungary 🇭🇺.

He believes surgery should only be offered if it held the promise of a great outcome and not before other treatments were tried. For him, there are some aspects of care that should be offered to all patients including communicating well,help them make smart decisions about their care, and being prepared to offer the best of services.

He achieves this with constant change, and continued education with the Dental Experts of the world. He is always interested in learning new techniques to give his patients the best treatment available and to bring them back to life.
