Last OR day of the year always hits a little different — tired legs, full heart, and that quiet reminder of why we do this. Working alongside residents is one of the greatest privileges: teaching in real time, learning right back, and watching growth happen in the moments that aren’t easy. Because let’s be honest — this work asks a lot of us. To the oral surgery residents and every healthcare provider who shows up day after day in a world where the highs are incredibly high and the lows can feel impossibly low: I see you, and I’m proud to be on the same team. Here’s to a more grateful year ahead — grateful to do what we love, even when some days are heavier than others. Cheers.

There’s something truly magical about descending into the underworld of the ocean where time feels suspended, and colors dance in a way they never do on land. The experience of deep blues, the bursts of coral reds and all the sea creatures is truly amazing!

How cute are my patients! There is something heartwarming and playful about seeing two people coordinate their outfits, creating a sense of unity and closeness. It's like saying "we are a team"In this case they told me they also tried to match my waiting room colors! Ps. He just woke up from sedation still fashionable and happy! 🤓

Let me tell you a little story about a very bright charming young lady named Karina that came to my office not knowing anything about oral surgery. The first few surgeries she couldn't even handle the sight of blood that she ended up having syncope! She really wanted to make this work and she worked through it and she became one of the best assistants l've ever seen. She is so smart so committed so loyal with such good energy and she grew to be not only my assistant but also my friend. She is moving to do bigger better things with her life in another state. I wish I could hold her here but you need to let the birds fly away to have big adventures.We wish you the best of luck in your new journey and hope you visit us soon!
