Our incredible Founding Director, Mama Glo, was honored at BCC’s Womxn Up!’s 7th anniversary this month! 🥳 Gloria is the Founding Faculty Coordinator of Womxn Up!, a feminist centered space for female identified students. Gloria brought the work of DeAlmas into BCC.
In an afternoon filled with gratitude, empowerment, and community, Gloria was gifted a stunning art piece by a 10 year old student (First slide). How incredible is that piece! 😍
During the celebration, they developed our “Yo Soy Ella” chant to include this now moment and threw our fists into the air. This chant is a declaration of shared strength, deepening the connection to our 🌍💖 “Yo Soy Ella” was coined by Manuela () at a past Visiones Retreat.
Congratulations, Mama Glo! May we continue to embody her vision to provide empowerment, powerful mental health and wellness services, community, and leadership development.
