If you’re a medical student and interested in this space, this question came up at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine conference: “What advice would you give someone just starting out?”

My answer: stay curious.

You’re going to get a strong foundation in traditional medicine — and that’s essential. But it’s also important to keep asking questions about how the body changes over time and how that impacts long-term health.

As you go through your training:
• Stay open to new and evolving areas of medicine
• Ask questions — even when topics aren’t fully covered
• Keep learning beyond the standard curriculum
• Think about how you can support patients earlier, not just when disease develops

There’s so much more to learn in this field, and by the time you finish your training, the tools and insights available will be even more advanced.

One of the highlights of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Longevity SpringFest conference was reconnecting with , who was my attending physician during residency.

She was one of the first physicians who inspired me to think differently about patient care and to pursue independent practice with a longevity-focused approach to medicine. It’s truly a full circle moment to now be colleagues in this field.

We had a great conversation about the importance of understanding the full picture during perimenopause — from peptides to hormones and how different therapies can work together when used thoughtfully.

These kinds of conversations are why I value being in rooms like this — learning from mentors, sharing perspectives, and continuing to evolve how we approach patient care.

More insights from conversations during A4M coming soon! Make sure to check out her book, "Don't Let Your Doctor Kill You."

After my talk at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine conference, I had several physicians come up to share how valuable it was to connect the dots between perimenopause, brain health, bone health, and overall long-term wellbeing.

One neurologist told me how important it was to see these connections discussed openly — because perimenopause isn’t just about hot flashes or cycle changes. It can affect the brain, bones, metabolism, and more.

That’s exactly why I do this work. When clinicians understand the full picture, they’re better equipped to support patients with meaningful, evidence-based care.

More to come from my discussions with peers throughout the event. Stay tuned!

I was honored to speak at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Longevity SpringFest about why perimenopause deserves more attention in clinical practice.

During my session, I emphasized something I truly believe: perimenopause is where the action is. This stage of life is a powerful opportunity for early intervention, education, and meaningful support.

After the talk, the question I heard most from other physicians was:
“How do we help patients feel confident enough to take the next step?”

My answer: give people clarity. When patients see objective data — labs, testing, and a clear picture of what’s happening in their bodies — they can make more informed decisions about their care.

More to come — stay tuned!

Just returned from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Longevity SpringFest at the Palm Beach Convention Center, and I’m feeling energized and inspired.

I had the opportunity to connect with brilliant colleagues, hear from leading experts in longevity and hormone health, and share my own perspective on perimenopause and patient care.

This is just a glimpse of the experience — over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing more from my presentation, some of the thoughtful questions I received from other physicians, conversations and insights from peers in the field, and behind-the-scenes moments and key takeaways from the conference.

Stay tuned for more — I’m excited to share what I learned and what’s ahead!

This is one of the tools I use regularly in my practice: a body composition scale.

Rather than focusing only on weight, it provides additional insights like body fat, muscle mass, and hydration levels.

Looking at these metrics together can help create a more complete picture and guide more informed decisions over time.

It’s one way to move beyond guesswork and better understand how the body is changing.

I’m excited to be featured again on , where I’ll be discussing the connection between hormones and weight.

In my practice, I often see people who feel stuck despite making changes to their routine. In some cases, underlying factors like hormone levels may play a role in how the body responds.

We’ll be breaking this down in a clear, educational way – what to look for and how these pieces may connect.

Stay tuned for the segment!

One of the most common questions I’m asked is: Do you take insurance?

The short answer is no — and there’s a reason for that.

In many cases, traditional insurance is structured around treating existing conditions, rather than supporting more comprehensive or preventative approaches to health. Because of this, it often does not cover the level of time, testing, and ongoing monitoring that I believe is important for truly personalized care.

In my practice, I focus on:
• In-depth evaluations and longer visit times
• Advanced lab testing beyond standard panels
• Ongoing monitoring and adjustments over time
• Tools like body composition analysis to better understand progress

This type of care allows me to take a more individualized approach, rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

In my experience, personalized care is one of the most important parts of a weight loss plan.

Everyone’s body responds differently, which is why ongoing monitoring and adjustments can be helpful over time.

In my practice, I use tools like body composition tracking to better understand changes beyond the scale and guide decisions along the way.

Consistency and follow-up are key when building a plan that’s meant to last.

I’m honored to be speaking at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Longevity SpringFest 2026 this April.

April 11-12, 2026 📍 West Palm Beach, FL | Palm Beach Convention Center

I’ll be discussing perimenopause—how it’s often misunderstood, sometimes missed, and why taking a deeper look at what’s happening in the body can be so important.

My focus is always on understanding the full picture, not just isolated symptoms, and helping patients navigate this stage of life with a more informed approach.

One of the most important conversations I have with patients is what happens after weight loss.

Reaching a goal is one milestone, but maintaining those results requires a long-term approach.

In this video, I share some of the lifestyle strategies I often discuss with patients — including nutrition, hydration, movement, and regular medical follow-up.

Sustainable weight management is about consistency and understanding how the body responds over time. Continued monitoring and support can play an important role in helping people stay on track.

I talk a lot about insulin resistance with my patients, and many people aren’t quite sure what it means.

In simple terms, insulin resistance happens when the body doesn’t respond to insulin as efficiently as it should. When that happens, the body may have a harder time using energy and regulating hunger signals, which can make weight management more challenging.

There can be many factors involved — including genetics, environment, and metabolic health. That’s why understanding what’s happening beneath the surface is so important when someone feels like they’re doing everything right but still struggling to see progress.

Identifying the underlying drivers is often the first step in creating a thoughtful, individualized plan.
