Congratulations to Alon Harris, MS, PhD, FARVO on his appointment as Interim Director of The Barry Family Center for Ophthalmic Artificial Intelligence and Human Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The Center’s clinical programs are focused on equitable, primary care-based vision care, and it supports research aimed at the early diagnosis of eye diseases and the creation of innovative risk assessments of systemic health conditions linked to eye disorders.

On October 9th Mount Sinai celebrated Children’s Environmental Health Day, to raise awareness about the importance of healthy environments on children’s health.

Muoi A. Trinh, MD, Medical Director of Sustainability, provided a special hospital behind the scenes sustainability tour to inform invited guests about Mount Sinai’s various initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental impact and promoting health in the community.
Mount Sinai in New York City is the coordinating center of the NYS Children's Environmental Health Centers (NYSCHECK). This is the first state-wide, publicly funded model for children's environmental health clinical services in the United States.
