No one really prepares you for the loneliness that can show up in midlife.

You may have expected life to feel more settled by now.

Instead, you might find yourself asking:

Who am I now?

Children grow up.
Roles change.
Relationships shift.
Work evolves.
Your body asks for something different.

And what looks like loneliness on the surface… may be something deeper.

Grief.
Uncertainty.
Identity change.
The discomfort of becoming someone new.

For me, it showed up when the house grew quieter.

I realized how much of my life had been devoted to nurturing others — and how unfamiliar it felt to be alone with myself.

There was sadness. Restlessness. Fatigue.

And a tendency to stay busy enough not to notice.

But beneath it all, there was also an invitation.

If this is where you are right now, you are not alone.

This chapter may not be falling apart.

It may be asking you to begin again.

If this resonates, comment below ⬇️
And if it helps, I wrote more about it. Link in bio 🤍

There’s a part of midlife no one really talks about.

The part where things aren’t falling apart…
but they’re not quite clicking either.

You’ve built a life.
You’ve checked the boxes.

And still… something feels off.

Unsettled. Unclear.

I felt it the other day on a golf course of all places—
a lot of “left, right, left, right.”

At one point I caught myself thinking:

Okay… on this next one, I have another chance to start again.

And it hit me—

maybe this isn’t a problem to solve.
Maybe it’s just how this part of life works.

Not linear.
More like a zig-zag.

If you’re in that space right now… you’re not alone in it.

I wrote more about this here:

There’s often a moment in midlife—in the middle of everything you’ve built—that can feel surprisingly… disorienting.Things that once felt clear start to blur. Roles that once defined you begin to shift.Questions you didn’t expect to be asking quietly enter the room:What do I want now?Who...

Happy St. Paddy’s 🍀 from the SoCal Wellness Summit! 💚

Great day of learning, connecting and understanding. ✨🩷

My favorite panel topic was:
Optimizing Your Health As You Age: The Latest in Biohacking & Longevity

Biggest Takeaways:
Before you go out and buy the latest supplement or trendiest peptide, START WITH THE BASICS!

The simplest Lifestyle Pillars are the foundations for health:

✨ Sleep - ask, am I getting enough and if not, what do I need to adjust in my life in order to get enough?

✨ Nutrition - How am I feeding my body? Am I nourishing my cells with whole, unprocessed foods? Am I getting enough protein?

✨ Exercise - How am I moving my body every day? What am I doing to keep my bones and my muscles strong so that they support me in old age?

🩷 And this I loved: What are the most common mistakes women make when it comes to our health in midlife?

- We “push through it”
- We ignore that we aren’t sleeping
- We keep doing, doing, doing
- We tolerate toxic relationships/jobs
- We don’t slow down
- We don’t work on our nervous system
- We operate in fight or flight survival mode most of the time!
- We deny, deflect and put it off bc we feel fine today

Wow! This was powerful stuff. Anything sound familiar?

These super simple reminders coming doctors and other professionals made me smile 😊in agreement.

“Women in midlife must find a way to slow down and activate the parasympathetic nervous system”

“We must work on stress management and sleep.”

“Protect your cognitive health.”

and

“DON’T UNDERESTIMATE THE BASICS!”

Welcome to December.

Anyone else feeling that strange blur between wrapping up the year and trying not to get lost in the holiday chaos?

One minute you’re lighting a candle and feeling reflective. The next you’re wondering how many events you accidentally said yes to.

Last month I led a 21-day gratitude practice with an incredible group of people, and it reminded me of something simple but surprisingly powerful.

Even in the busiest times, tiny moments of awareness can shift the whole day.
- A quiet sip of coffee.
- A breath before opening your inbox.
- Remembering you still have leftovers so you don’t have to cook again.

These things count. And each time you notice them, you are training your mind to notice the abundance that already exists in your life!

Here’s what one participant shared about my Rooted in Gratitude practice:

“It surprised me how grounded it made me feel. I see it as a gem that I can go back to regularly.” - Vanessa

A gem. Gratitude is a gem!

To be clear, gratitude doesn’t magically clear your calendar or fold your laundry.
But it gives you a place to land when everything starts moving too fast.

And in December, that landing spot matters.

If this kind of practice speaks to you, stay tuned. I’ll be offering it again soon.

Share below ⬇️ one “landing spot” (aka: gratitude) you can rely on this holiday season.

Giving thanks for the simple bounty in front of me — and for the deep inner abundance that grows from presence, gratitude, and stillness.

May you feel your own inner abundance rising, no matter what season of life you’re in.

Happy Thanksgiving 🧡🧡🧡

“I was completely heartbroken when my children left the nest… I wonder if I’d had access to a coaching program like yours if I could have saved a lot of grief?”
- Cheryl

This reflection from a friend stopped me in my tracks. The grief is real. So is the transformation.

You’re not alone—and it is possible to rediscover joy and purpose on the other side.

This is why I created my Thriving in the Empty Nest program.
It’s never too late to feel more YOU than ever before. 🌱

Sharing a little piece of my journey…

I recently had the chance to reflect on how I became a coach and meditation teacher—what inspired me, what challenged me, and what continues to guide me.

So honored to be featured in VoyageLA’s Interesting LA Stories series.
If you’ve ever found yourself asking, “Who am I now that the kids have left the nest” or “What’s next for me?” —this one’s for you.
