After struggling with infertility, James and Miranda consulted with an OB/Gyn and discovered that Miranda had a sizable cyst on her o***y.

Once the cyst was removed, Miranda went for a FEMM evaluation with Dr. Danielle Koestner, a family doctor and FEMM-trained medical provider. Dr. Koestner was able to identify and treat the underlying health issue that caused Miranda’s cyst. Two months later, Miranda was pregnant!

Today, James and Miranda credit FEMM with their three healthy children. ❤️

Alright FEMM fans, you asked and so we’ll answer! Yes, there are sisters and nuns at some of our FEMM medical management trainings. Why? Why not?!

How about because they provide free services to the poor (and often with better health outcomes), they care for almost all HIV/AIDS patients in Africa, they are women who run hospital systems and health programs around the world and they are doctors and nurses themselves.

It’s an honor to work with these women.

Throwback Thursday! FEMM doctors and medical professionals from South Africa, Canada, Chile, Tanzania, Malta, and ALL across the USA at the FEMM Advanced Medical Management Course.

The takeaways were eight-fold as Dr. Pilar Vigil, Director of the Reproductive Health Research Institute, shared the latest research as well as a paper entitled, “the ominous octet of obesity.” Using the image of the octopus 🐙 to examine the pathophysiology of obesity, Dr. Vigil reminded providers to address the whole person.

This is how we do it at FEMM. Bring together the experts, study the latest research in the field, and implement medical protocols in clinical practice to improve women’s health outcomes around the world. It’s so powerful that it makes you ask … wait, why isn’t this the standard of healthcare everywhere?! Why doesn’t every doctor test for and treating the underlying hormonal imbalance?
