A: Always more than you think!

*1mL is equal to 1/5th of a teaspoon. If you are nervous of a full syringe (1mL), we can place half! Half a syringe will only create a subtle change, but it can be done! 💉

Dermal Fillers for Lips 💋

Do not use a straw for 24 hours 🧋
Avoid this as much as possible. Using a straw will put pressure on your new lip fillers and may cause discomfort due to swelling. Pressure can also alter the filler placement.

No exercise for 24 hours 🏃🏻‍♀️
Strenuous exercise should be avoided for 24-48 hours after treatment. Elevated blood pressure and heart rate can increase swelling and bruising. Light walking is okay.

14 day follow up appointment 🗓
Don't love or hate your lips for at least 14 days. During this time you will experience swelling and possible bruising while your lips settle after injection.
Follow up is important to monitor your results and discuss with your clinician. Additional filler may be needed to achieve your desired look.

Apply ice to reduce bruising 🧊
At any stage of your recovery from lip filler treatment, use ice whenever you feel any discomfort. Ice can reduce swelling.
Arnica can also be recommended by your clinician; it is a homeopathic herb that comes in tablet or cream form to help with bruising.
