celebrated my babes birthday, finally wore heels after many months of my Hokas only, my coffee intake is down to 6 shots of espresso everyday 😂, Noah’s milk intake just goes up, tried a mushroom latte (it was really good), went to L&Bs after being stuck in the worst nyc bike marathon traffic… oh and random selfie 💜

I’ve really been enjoying my time lovinnn on this little boy these past 6 weeks ❤️ Noah accompanied me on my coffee run this morning - he loves car rides and being outdoors, especially in my carry on.

I go back to work to finish up my residency hours soon, I’m also looking forward to that and finally finishing up these last 4 years.

We out here makin’ babies and gettin’ degrees🤟🏼

Rant/Story Time:

this pregnancy has been looking a lot different than I ever imagined. I always thought that I would be able to take on the world while I was pregnant but tbh I cry every day over everything and anything… like anything, such as something dropping on the floor. I’m as exhausted as I am grateful - residency has been kicking my buttt… I went from ms. always has a fresh manicure to ms. I’ll just bite it off instead of filing it off.

In the beginning I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) and anyone who’s gone through that can tell you it’s complete torture - especially when you’re working through it. I had to take time off and rest but it hasn’t been until recently that the nausea has subdued and I’m 7 months. I’ve read all the mommy blogs, I’m officially in nesting mode and counting down the days till I’m out on maternity leave (ps. I should note that I love the team I’m working with and have been so blessed to work with a supportive group of people who haven’t judged me for being pregnant and a resident - this is a whole different issue I won’t get into). Any who… I have a new found appreciation and respect for working moms… my mom worked multiple jobs while she had 3 kids and so it was a norm for me growing up but damn… I didn’t realize how hard it is, and my boy isn’t even here it.

Also ifffff one more person tells me to enjoy my time and sleep before the baby gets here I may combust… I’ve learned to not give out unsolicited advice to moms, it’s just really never appreciated LOL.
