SOMA Wellness

SOMA Wellness At Soma Wellness, we create space for high achievers to pause, reconnect, and grow together.

Through workshops, retreats, and coaching, we help you build resilience, awareness, connection, and growth so you can thrive in every area of life. Nicole Michelson is a therapist, coach, and mom of three who believes that true growth happens in community. After more than ten years in corporate finance, she shifted her focus to helping others build resilience, awareness, connection, and growth — the four pillars that guide all of her work. Through Soma Wellness, Nicole designs retreats and workshops that bring women together to pause, reset, and discover new ways of living and leading.

There’s a space many people eventually encounter between how life looks on the outside and how it actually feels on the inside. That space doesn’t ask for answers. It asks for attention. I’ve wrote about this this week Lincoln bio. # selfawareness

Midlife isn’t a crisis, it’s a transition.
And like all meaningful transitions, it tends to unfold in phases.

For many women, the path looks like this:
✨ The Stirring
✨ The Threshold
✨ The Return

Each phase asks something different of us.
Each one carries its own wisdom.

Which phase are you in right now?

Last week I had the honor of leading a Women’s Circle with the incredible women of Colliers. The focus was the Seven Primal Questions, but what stood out most wasn’t the framework. It was the connection.

What I heard again and again was how much these women craved space to slow down, support each other, and feel truly seen. Not to talk about tasks, deadlines, or strategy… but to talk about themselves.

We underestimate how deeply women leaders need connection in the workplace. Real connection. The kind that builds trust, safety, and emotional bandwidth, not just collaboration.

Circles like these touch that deeper layer in a way that feels grounding, not overwhelming. A space that’s safe enough to open, but structured enough to guide.

Thank you Holly for this opportunity, I was so grateful to witness what happens when women pause long enough to reconnect, with themselves and with each other.

Have you ever noticed that calm can feel… uncomfortable?
So many of us spend years proving our worth through motion, achieving, managing, striving, that when life finally slows down, our nervous system doesn’t quite know what to do with peace.
It’s not that something’s wrong with you.
It’s that your body is still running an old program: movement = safety, achievement = worth.
The work isn’t to fix what’s “broken.”
It’s to remind yourself:
🌿 You’re not in danger, you’re just not used to peace yet.
This week’s post on ARC-G Well explores how to retrain your nervous system to trust calm again.

Feeling grateful to join this year’s Atlanta Professional Women in Building panel on Confidence & Connection 🌿✨

We’ll be diving into what it means to lead and live with confidence. The kind that comes from authenticity, self-trust, and connection (not perfection!).

These are the same themes I love exploring in my corporate workshops and retreats, helping teams slow down, connect more deeply, and build resilience from the inside out.

If your organization could use a little more of that in 2026, let’s talk. 💛

I just got back from Christine Hassler's women’s retreat that cracked something open in me. ✨

There was a moment called grief release — sitting knee to knee with another woman, holding hands, breathing together for nearly an hour.

No words. Just presence.

We released sadness, fear, and regret — and somehow, through the silence, found peace in being seen.

It reminded me why I feel so called to create the SOMA Day Retreats launching this January — sacred one-day gatherings for women in midlife to reconnect with their inner vitality, purpose, and wholeness.

These retreats aren’t about escaping life.
They’re about coming home to yourself, surrounded by women who see your light and hold your truth with love.

Because when women gather in compassion and authenticity, healing happens. 🌸

You can read more about this experience and the inspiration behind the retreats in my latest blog post, “Held: The Healing Power of Being Seen,” now live below

I just returned from a women’s retreat in San Diego led by Christine Hassler. Nearly one hundred women gathered together with one shared intention: to reconnect, release, and remember who they are beneath all the roles they play. It’s hard to describe the experience fully. Sacred. Special. Trans...

The Emotional Evolution of Midlife

This one’s personal.

I wasn’t sure I’d share it, but after learning that my own body and mind are moving through midlife changes, and seeing so many of the men and women I work with in this same season, it felt important to.

Midlife doesn’t always crash in like a crisis.
It often sneaks in quietly… through fatigue, restlessness, irritability, or that subtle whisper: “Is this still working for me?”

For women, hormones shift in waves.
For men, they decline more slowly.

But for both—it’s emotional, neurological, and deeply human.

The drive to prove softens into a desire to be.
And what once fueled us stops fitting the same way.

This isn’t the end of anything, it’s an evolution.
A recalibration.
An awakening.

If this resonates, I wrote more about it on the ARC-G Well blog

Waze never yells at you for a wrong turn, it just says recalculating.

Life works the same way. ✨

Wrong turns aren’t failures. They’re lessons, redirections, sometimes even blessings.

The key is how you handle them:
🌿 Awareness to notice what’s happening
💪 Resilience to keep going
🤝 Connection to lean on support
🌱 Growth to take the lesson forward

So stop beating yourself up. You’re not behind, you’re just recalculating.

💡 Save this for when you need the reminder.

✨ Introducing the ARC-G Framework ✨

At SOMA Wellness, we believe real transformation begins with intention — and we built the ARC-G Framework to help guide the process.

🌱 A = Awareness — Learn to notice your thoughts, patterns, and triggers so you can respond instead of react.

💪 R = Resilience — Build the inner strength to adapt when life doesn’t go as planned.

🤝 C = Connection — Deepen your relationships with yourself and others by living in alignment with your values.

🌿 G = Growth — Move from surviving to thriving by creating a meaningful, sustainable path forward.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll explore each pillar in detail and share practical ways you can bring them into your daily life.

Hi there 👋
After more than a decade in corporate finance, I’ve seen firsthand how pressure, perfectionism, and performance demands can leave women feeling drained and disconnected. That experience, combined with my work as a therapist and coach, led me to create SOMA Wellness.

✨ SOMA is about more than individual support. It’s about community and connection.

Through workshops and retreats, I’m creating spaces where women can:
Build resilience and awareness 🌱
Slow down and reset 🧘
Grow stronger alongside like-minded women 💫

I’ll be officially launching SOMA Wellness on January 1, 2026.

Between now and then, I’ll be running complimentary pilot workshops with women’s groups — from tennis teams to professional associations — to test ideas and refine programs.

If you’re part of a group of women who would love to experience this together, I’d love to connect. Send me a message or tag your group below!

Because when women gather with intention, transformation happens. 💕

🌱 Why “Soma”? In Greek, soma means “the body” a reminder that true resilience and growth don’t just happen in the mind, but through the whole self: body, heart, and spirit.
