Nothing like starting my day by receiving this text from a patient. Just so happy to make a difference in my patients’ lives.

Dr Borkowsky - I just wanted to send you a quick note and say a huge THANK YOU for all of your help with my foot the last week. It’s hard to find doctors that ‘care’, but you certainly went above and beyond and for that I’ll be eternally grateful. You most certainly had the right call in knowing how serious this was getting. The doctors at Mt Sinai are convinced I had MRSA (which as you know is very serious if not taken care of early on!!!). I appreciate your persistence in getting me to the hospital. Not sure where I (or my foot!) would be without you. You should expect lots of positive reviews from me and know that I’ll be a loyal patient recommending you to all my friends + family. I’m excited to report that the foot is back to 100% and I’ll be attending my baby shower tonight with a big smile on my face! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!

Now is the ideal time for cosmetic treatments in order to be wrinkle-free for the holidays. Botox treatments take 14 days for maximum effect. Filler treatments may cause bruising lasting up to 2 weeks. Plan ahead and you will feel great about yourself for the holidays and the New Year! All Facebook friends receive 10% off any Botox treatment during the month of December.

Reminder to everyone...most health insurance plans start fresh on January 1. By now, most deductibles have been met so it is a smart time to get in a final visit to your doctors if needed. Most flex spending accounts also need to be used by Dec 31!

Welcome to Spring! Starting now through the end of October, everyone should be wearing an SPF of 30 or greater plus UVA protection. The SPF number pertains only to ultraviolet B rays so make sure your sunscreen states that it also provides UVA protection. Products containing titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, Helioplex, and Mexoryl will all provide UVA and UVB protection.

It's best to have laser treatments while not tan. In fact, a suntan is a relative contraindication for most laser treatments. Since we're still in the midst of dreary weather, now is a good time. If you're interested in laser for hair removal, broken capillaries, brown spots or spider veins, I would be happy to see you for a consultation and/or treatment. My next laser session will be on Tuesday, March 23rd.
