Millions of Americans like myself were forced to pay % of hard earned money into Social Security for 40-50 years of our working lives with the promise of benefits when we retire.
We paid when that was extra money we needed. We need the US Government to keep that promise, and not break it because any political party wants the money for their budget or debt ceiling.

All political candidates, above all others, should be fact checked, because their premises and decisions affect the lives of everyone in our country. This is especially true for Trump, who has an enormous history of making up his own version of the "Truth". He is a compulsive liar. This is not meant to be a criticism; just an observation of who he is and who he has been. Ask anyone who has done work for him and not gotten paid. Look at the analysis of his falsehoods during his last administration. Look at his relationship with Putin and Communist Russia during his campaign, presidency, and afterward, during Putin's attack on Ukraine. His admiration of Putin for that attack was a lie about his allegiance to Democracy and the United States of America, and its allies. The war has contributed greatly to our current inflation.

Bearing false witness is contradictory to one of the Ten Commandments, echoed not only in the Bible, but in the moral codes of most religions of the world. We cannot have reasonable discourse when it is based on a foundation of lies! Ordinary citizens are forbidden to lie in all sorts of civil, professional, and even personal matters. ( are you married? no (heh, heh).

He closed the tax savings and sell back provisions that would have allowed widespread use of solar panels in Florida, selling back electricity to the power companies.
