Think of hair loss treatment like going to the gym. You work out consistently, you get stronger, build muscle, and feel great, right? But if you stop going, those results don't stick around forever–your muscles will eventually lose that tone and strength.

If you stop using treatment, it's like stopping your gym routine for your hair. Those natural processes will kick back in, and you'll likely start losing ground again which is why staying consistent with your treatment is key.

You can genetically inherit hair loss from either or both of your parents (not just mom). According to a study by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, a hair loss tendency on both sides of the family is suggestive of a person’s predisposition to hair loss, with heredity accounting for 80% of the condition. Why may hair loss get worse after starting treatment? This increased hair loss in the first 2-8 weeks after beginning treatment is referred to as shedding.

Treatment accelerates the process in which your thinning hair falls out so it can make way for your new, healthier hair. (Basically your new hair begins to grow and pushes dying hair follicles upwards)

It typically only occurs at the beginning of your treatment. After that, shedding should subside.

Our story

We founded Keeps for one reason: to help more guys keep more hair.

Co-founders Steve and Demetri met the first week of college, back when they both had very full heads of hair. Flash forward 10 years, when Demetri began to not-so-subtly point out Steve's thinning hair. (Hey, that’s what friends do!) Together, they set out in search of a convenient, effective and inexpensive solution for men’s hair loss – and found none. With that, Keeps was born.

Keeps is designed for guys like Steve and Demetri – guys who want to stop hair loss and then get back to their lives. That’s why we created the first simple, modern solution focused on making it easier and more affordable for men to take action and keep their hair. No jargon. No hoops to jump through. No skeevy before and after shots. Just a really great head of hair.
