BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers is an FQHC Health Center Across our 7 (existing and new) clinical sites we have a total of 52,000 sq. ft.

and 77 exam rooms devoted to clinical services, which include: Adult Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease (including HIV/AIDS medical, Prevention, case management, and testing services), Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Dentistry, Psychology, Psychiatry, Nephrology, Optometry, Podiatry, Pulmonology, Physical Therapy, Cardiology and Gastroenterology, Urgent Care Services, and a wide array of preventive, health education and enabling services such as Adolescent Health, Geriatric Support, Smoking Cessation, and Nutritional Support/Weight Management. We have implemented a number of pioneering and innovative initiatives over the years to improve service delivery and engage high-risk individuals, including Electronic Health Records, Drop-In Group Medical Appointments; the Brownsville Community Farmers’ Market (the only health center-operated farmers’ market in Brooklyn); and the World Academy for Total Community Health (WATCH), a health-themed high school.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Paul Chandler—a giant whose legacy is woven into the very fabric of our mission and the Brownsville community.

For 32 years, Paul served with unwavering dedication. In the early 1970s, when our community faced healthcare crises, he didn't see statistics—he saw neighbors. He didn't see problems—he saw possibilities.

Paul helped build the foundation of BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers. Every patient we serve stands on the foundation he built with his own hands and heart. He showed us that real leadership is measured in sacrifice and that lasting change comes from unwavering conviction in the dignity of every person.

Don't miss out on our **Back to School Giveback* event hosted by BMS Express Urgent Care!

Come join us for a fun and community-focused afternoon where kids can receive a free book bag while supplies last. Remember, children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to receive a book bag.
