September is National DMV Appreciation Month — a time to recognize the important role DMV staff play by helping the public register as eye, organ and tissue donors. Currently, 8 million New Yorkers are registered donors, and the vast majority of those registrations took place at the DMV. DMV staff are an essential part of the community. They help save lives and restore sight. The next time you visit the DMV, consider registering as a donor to help give the gift of sight and life to a New Yorker in need.
