Your Life Coach: Rae Leslie

Like a mechanic for the soul, Rae’s life coaching approach is a deep dive into every aspect of the personality. With an immersive experience, individuals are guided past old childhood programs and limited beliefs that no longer serve them, thus shifting their perspectives onto their true calling. Leslie works with clients to reparent their inner child by assisting them in shifting the memory of their pasts by consciously co-creating their future. In this way, individuals learn how to be an authentic adult without losing the best, most authentic part of themselves- The Child. Fascinated about what makes people truly happy and curious to explore the root of joy, Rae has spent the last thirty years using her imagination to creatively transform a life of adversity and her own limited beliefs into a life filled with purpose and genuine happiness. To share what she has learned with others who are seeking their own authentic joy is now her greatest life purpose. Rae Leslie has been featured in publications such as Goop and Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper, has traveled as a public speaker such as speaking on consciousness and lucid dreaming at Loyola Marymount University, a podcast speaker for Athreya Herbs and is the author of 3 books. She currently resides in New York City where she sees clients personally as well as offering sessions via zoom.

I love, love, love metaphors even if I don’t understand the metaphors of others! I sometimes love those even more1

Today before my work day began I thought about how many different meanings things have and then my mind and imagination started to string them along and I came up with this:

ngKnow what you are carrying
thoughts are that heavy?
Memories that drain?
Relationships that aren’t working?
Today (!) I am carrying a hot loaf of homemade bread.
It will be just the right amount of heavy
(and then I’m gonna eat it too.)

Hi, I’m Rae Leslie—life coach, writer, and mom of three. I raised my children on my own while building a business, and one truth became clear: we can’t do it all, and we’re not meant to.

In a culture that glorifies doing, I chose to slow down. That’s when I began to see: we always have choices. Options. And often, it's in the slowing that we discover better ways to parent—and care for ourselves.

I began mothering myself—finding strength in rest, clarity in stillness, and wisdom in the inner mother archetype. She reminds us we’re not alone. We’re not broken. We’re just in need of gentler ways to live and love.

Now I help women reconnect with that inner guidance, so they can raise their children—and themselves—with more grace, choice, and ease.

🩷heartfelt thank you to these two special humans for making a mom feel so at home and loved.

Always bittersweet departures but savoring new memories and envisioning the beautiful ones to come! I especially loved the new card games we played which proved to me that I would have never survived the Roy family but don’t consider that a bad thing. ;)

And Brett: you have forever altered my perception of cement and aliens and that is beautiful.

Much love.

Happy Birthday, Conor!
So many memories flood my heart when I think of this life with you—after all, your birth made me a mama!

Every birthday is special, but today I want to pause and reflect on a few memories that stand out most to me.

I remember reading Madeline to you so often that I could recite it by heart—and so could you. There was no skipping pages or rushing through; we took our time, studied the illustrations, and asked questions about little Madeline’s life in Paris. I’m so glad that, along with “That Table,” this beloved book has survived all the moves we’ve made over the years.

But the memory that feels most important today is of the staircase in Paris—those four long, winding flights. You wouldn’t let me help carry a single suitcase. I watched with a mix of awe and concern as you hauled all our luggage up and down, determined and uncomplaining. That trip was one you had dreamed of sharing with me for a lifetime, and it’s one I will treasure for the rest of mine.

On this birthday, I want to take a moment to applaud the woman you are and the unwavering integrity you bring to a profession that constantly tests morals, ethics, and scruples. It’s rare to find someone who walks their talk in every area of life, and yet you do—steadfastly, gracefully, and with deep conviction. Nothing could make me prouder.
(You have a beautiful heart.)
Love you more than I could ever explain,
Mom🩷

Happy Birthday, Jack Leslie!

I’m glad I had the sense of mind not to repost the same photos this year!

The years—and now decades—have given us so many memories, yet not so many photos. I kind of like that. While I’ve said this before, I love the journal entries more than the photos—the notes I’ve kept over the years about our daily goings-on and, most of all, our one-on-one conversations. Like the time when you were 16, sitting on my bed one night, YouTubing how to solve your new Rubik’s Cube. To this day, and many Rubik’s Cubes later, I still don’t know how you do it.

While the photos of you as a little boy might be the closest to my heart, I also love looking at the pictures of the grown man I now have the privilege of calling my son—a man-cub I love and respect. I admire your determination to reach your dreams and the steps you take to pursue them. You are talented, smart, and compassionate.
Love you lots.
