This morning, we met with Connie Cripe, Director at St. Vincent House, to drop off gift bags for the kids currently staying at their facility this Christmas.

St. Vincent House is a facility on the Ascension St. Vincent campus that houses families who have traveled out of state seeking treatment for loved ones battling serious illnesses.

Today we met w/ Bethany LaRocco, Program Director of Family Services at Wheeler Mission Center For Women And Children, to donate $1K in Target gift cards to help purchase toys and other much needed items for the kids currently staying at their facility this Christmas. The center houses homeless women and their children.

Today, we met w/ Tracy Walters from Turn Away No Longer to donate toys for the foster kids they assist. TANL’s mission is to improve the lives of children in foster care in Indiana.

TANL House is a home that provides a welcoming environment for children to have their immediate needs met while their caseworker finds placement.

Giving back to an organization like TANL is important to me because I spent the first 10 months of my life in foster care before I was adopted.

This morning, we met with Rabbi Dovid Grossbaum from the Chabad Center for Jewish Life - Lubavitch of Indiana to make a donation of $1K for Hanukkah.

Chabad of Indiana is a non-profit organization that aims to heighten an awareness, appreciation, and observance of Judaism through community service.

November is National Adoption Awareness Month. I was adopted at 10 months old into a loving family that provided me an amazing life. I was one of the fortunate ones.

But many children are not as fortunate. Spending their childhood being shuffled around from one home to another, often aging out of the system at 18 years old.

Currently in the U.S. there are over 400,000 children in foster care awaiting the day they become part of a loving family.
