👁️ What's your relationship with joy?

- Do you enjoy life without external stimulation?
- Do you wake up looking forward to your day?
- Do you feel guilty about taking time from your loved ones or work to do something that brings you joy?
- How does excitement differ from joy?
- Do you hide your pain in that kind of joy?

✨ What if authentic joy that comes from your heart is the force of attraction that heals and manifests your desires?

Before you ask this question, take a moment to really connect to your breath and then go to the deepest place in your heart that you know.

Beyond all superficial and fleeting desires, influences of others and culture, what does your heart truly want?

It may not be easy and the answer/s may not come the first time you do it. Or you may get flooded with vivid images. You won't know until you try...

In East Asian Medicine, all dis-ease leads to the heart and our unwillingness or inability to listen to its true desires. Heart is residence of Shen - the spirit. As a matter of fact, the Chinese character for heart is often translated as "heart-mind" in acupuncture texts.

This week we just couldn't but ask you to reflect on your ability to see beyond the obvious outward differences. Can you easily find similarities and common threads that lie deeper once you look into whatever it is, in this case, 2 blockbuster films?

Can you see beyond gender, race, political affiliation, religion, human form and feel unity with others and your environment?

Interestingly enough, according to the mighty Wikipedia, the phenomenon began as a joke about the two films' seemingly endless differences, some media commentators have pointed out some similarities between them; both films have been analyzed as exploring existentialism and the theoretical notion of the Anthropocene, both have an Oscar-nominated director and screenwriter and a large ensemble cast, and both were produced by a husband-and-wife production company.
