gauranga teaches us all the finer points of the Bhagavad Gita starting July 19 in studio followed by 4 weeks of Wednesday evening classes via zoom. For all curious about the yogic philosophy and text you can not miss this course.📚

We had a wonderful weekend at the studio. JAYA2025 in full swing with Laura and Teri delivering fabulously nuanced classes on the finer points of the practices. 🙏🏽

Maddy is sho mg us Kubera Mudra - pinky and ring fingers tucked into the plan of the hand while the middle, index and thumbs come together at the tips. A Mudra to help us cultivate containment of our prana!🤌🏼

Another fulfilling JAYA2025 weekend with much of the cohort taking a well deserved savasana after hours of the yoga download!💤😎.

Jaya Teacher and Program assistant Laura D (Thursday 5:30 pm) watches over them while they rest ready to assist and aid! Her presence in the program is invaluable! Thank you Laura!🙏🏽

This week we have been diving into Asteya, the third of Sri Patanjali's Yamas. Asteya is the cultivation non steeling, not taking what is not freely given. This includes the obvious like no bank robbing but also the less obvious don't take peoples time up needlessly, kinda thing.

The third and fourth slides, featuring Maddy (Wednesday 7 am), show the two stages of the Mudra. As we exhale the hands come toward each other and as we inhale the hands come away from each other - at the level of the solar plexus. Do this for 2 to 3 minutes see how you feel. Feel free to report back your findings.👌🏽

Field trip season is here! We are thrilled to welcome the kids from PS 1:30 to Jaya Yoga Center. We look forward to this time of year every single year. You'll be happy to know that Miss Greta is in charge and the kids are having a great time!

In other news, it's Friday and we have a lot of great classes for you to participate in. It is a special weekend to look forward to indeed as we are starting up our Jaya 2025 in six month immersion and teacher training. The vibes will be high all weekend long for sure. Stop in for class.

Monday Full Moon 🌕 day in the transformative sign of ♏️ Scorpio unless of course you follow Vedic astrology in which case the full moon is in Libra ♎️. Libra has the characteristics of balance, diplomacy, and the like....

Regardless we have 100% illumination of our round friend who lives up in the sky and a whole lot of fabulous yoga to look forward all week long!
