1. Your skin barrier and microbiome are your best anti-aging tools. If they are compromised, nothing else will work. Prioritize gentle cleansers, barrier-repairing, biome-friendly moisturizers, and SPF. Every. Single. Day.

2. Botox can lift brows, but it can also lower them if not done correctly. To create lift, you need to treat the muscles that pull down, not the ones that lift up.

3. Over the counter retinol is often better in midlife. It’s gentler, more hydrating, and easier to stay consistent with, especially for perimenopausal or sensitive skin.

4. Sunscreen is your best investment. But only if you reapply. And no, makeup with SPF isn’t enough. Try a brush-on or mist for touch-ups during the day.

5. Laser, filler, and skincare should all work together. It’s about the right combination, in the right hands, at the right time.

Most people don’t realize this, but the way your Botox is placed can make or break your results.

It’s not just about where you inject. It’s about understanding which muscles lift and which ones pull down.

Find an injector who really understands the anatomy.

Creepy skin especially on the neck is one of the most common concerns I hear and yes, it can be treated.

☀️Always start with the basics, consistent sun protection is key!

🧴A body retinol is great to help hydrate the skin while reducing fine lines, creepiness, and sun damage. Comment SKIN and I’ll send you the link to my Retinol Body Serum.

💉If you’re looking for a more targeted support, treatments like Redensity can make a real difference in texture and tone.

Wherever you are in your skincare journey, there are effective options to help you feel confident in your skin.

I’m not one to keep secrets when it comes to the treatments I love.

Softwave is one I do twice a year on my face and neck, and the results speak for themselves. You (and everyone else) can really see the difference.

My patients who’ve had it come back and consistently tell me the same three words: “this really works!”

1. Topical Minoxidil 5% is FDA-approved for both men (twice a day) and women (once a day), and is clinically proven to stimulate hair growth and make hair up to 50% thicker.

2. Devices such as laser or low level light therapy through combs or helmets use specific wavelengths of light to stimulate hair follicles and improve hair density.

4. For some women, Hormone Therapy can help mitigate hair thinning by addressing the underlying hormonal deficiencies and imbalances.

5. The use of gentle, sulfate-free shampoos, and anti fungal shampoos, and even Regular scalp massage can improve circulation and reduce inflammation, creating a healthier environment for hair growth.

6. Supplements. Stress adaptogens and key nutrients may help support thicker hair. Also it’s worth testing to make sure you don’t have iron deficiency anemia or Vitamin D deficiency.

7. Eat enough protein! Hair is made of protein. Not getting enough can aggravate thinning. Add lean high quality meats, eggs, legumes, and leafy greens to support growth.

8. See your doctor. Some medical conditions can accelerate hair thinning or even cause scarring hair loss. The earlier they are treated the better the chances of recovery.

Your 30s are when everything starts to shift...hormones, collagen production, and how your skin ages.

The best thing you can do for your future skin is to protect and minimize damage to what you have.

UV damage may seem silent now, but the effects are cumulative, and the results are not pretty, so reapplying sunscreen shouldn’t be optional, it should be essential.

What you do today shows up in the mirror 10, 20, even 30 years from now.

Start now. Stay consistent. Your future self will thank you.

Through years of caring for my skin and health, I’ve discovered that feeling good on the inside reflects on the outside.

I’m not rigid about it, I still enjoy life’s little indulgences, and that balance has been one of my best “skincare secrets.”

What’s one healthy habit you swear by?

I’m always studying, learning and growing, sometimes in surprising ways. I love learning about and from them my patients every single day. 💛

My Philosophy of “Aging Beautifully”

Appearance is anything but superficial. Think about the days when you feel your most beautiful. What do you love about those days, and when does that “beautiful” feeling start? What you see, whether in the mirror in front of you or in your mind’s eye, is a reflection of the natural condition of your skin combined with the effects of specific life events and stressors. The art of aesthetics is about combining the highest quality scientific breakthroughs and art to reflate, restore and rejuvenate in the most natural and holistic way.

I like to think of myself as a skin whisperer, helping to reveal and enhance beauty by identifying and addressing what’s aging it or causing it to look anything less than its healthiest and most radiant. I have developed my own medical philosophy and unique treatment programs for each patient that incorporates my reverence for the art of medicine, years of experience and deep scientific background and have deployed it to diagnose and treat my patients with amazing results, which is why I say “older is better.”

I invite you to explore my page and visit my other sites: Twitter, Instagram and my website, which all have the handle: DrDorisDay.
