Morning chaos got you triggered?
Lost shoes, forgotten homework, kids moving like they’re under water, while you’re checking the clock every thirty seconds, getting more and more irritated. You snap at everyone. They snap back. The adrenaline and cortisol course through everyone’s veins.
Sound familiar? If you’re stuck in this Groundhog’s Day loop, read on!
The problem may not be your slow moving kids - it might be your expectations.
If you’re expecting your kiddos to have adult time awareness and move at adult speed, you’re likely setting yourself up for big time adult annoyance. Once you build in buffer time and create systems that work for their brains, everything changes.
Try this for tomorrow: Set everything out tonight - clothes, backpacks, shoes by the door.
And this is really key: wake up fifteen minutes earlier just for you - get your coffee buzz on, meditate, do whatever you need.
Then give yourself permission for mornings to take longer than feels reasonable. Kids need transition time. They have different agendas in the morning, and let’s face it, in general!
This is just one small tool you’ll receive in the Be a Calm Mom program. If you want peaceful mornings that don’t end with mom guilt, click here (https://forms.gle/a3CDjTCjyGqTJoPr5) to set up a free session to learn more. We’ll talk about what’s going on in your family. I’ll give you some ideas. We’ll see if we’re a good fit to work together.
Let’s fix this together.
