Attention all tennis players and tennis fans! 🎾🎾
31-67% of all tennis related injuries happen in the lower extremity.

Two most common tennis injuries:
1. Ankle sprain: most common tennis related injury due to frequent starting, stopping, and pivoting motions.
Players with a history of previous ankle sprains are at higher risk of sustaining another sprain.

2. Tennis toe: it's an injury to the great toe or second toe due to repetitive abutment of the toes against the shoe. It can lead to a hematoma under the toenail, injury to the nail bed, or injury to the toe joints.
This mostly happens when the shoes are too big or too small.
In many cases nail becomes permanently damaged and may get confused for a fungal toenail.
