Thank you NYPD 48 Precinct and SBH staff!

I am so proud of our 48th Precinct Police Officer Vega and Police Officer Canniff. They helped a mom-to-be deliver her baby. This is the second time they have assisted in a delivery! Their exceptional training and experience in a difficult circumstance is what prevailed. This is Police work at its finest! Congratulations to Maria Sumba on your new bundle of joy.

Students from City University of New York School of Medicine, a clinical affiliate of SBH, pose with school and hospital faculty after giving final presentations. This included presentations on such topics as pediatric medication safety, patient education in joint replacement surgery, patient adherence to changes in diabetic treatment plans, the effect of home health attendants on medication adherence, the path to patient satisfaction, and the use of nutriceuticals in type 2 diabetes care. The presentations were made upon completion of the students' eight weeks of field work at the hospital.
