“Stop training for likes and start training for life… because the algorithm won’t help you when you throw your back out picking up your kid.” 💀🔥



So I made a completely unhinged video of myself flipping kettlebells, juggling them, balancing them on my head, and doing all kinds of wildly unsafe “circus tricks.” 🤡

Before anyone calls my wife, my insurance company, or the NYPD… yes. It’s obviously AI. Because I personally enjoy having teeth. And shoulders. And a functioning future.

But here’s the sad truth:
These are the kinds of posts that go viral.
These are the workouts that get likes, reshares, and comments like:
“BRO WHAT WEIGHT IS THAT??”
“🔥🔥🔥”
“MY ROTATOR CUFF JUST LEFT THE CHAT.”

Meanwhile, the real work?
The boring stuff?
The unsexy, repetitive, disciplined grind?
That gets about 7 likes. Three of them are your mom. One is your chiropractor.

Here’s the reality nobody wants to hear:
Random workouts = random results.
“Muscle confusion” is just your body being confused why you keep doing dumb things.

Real progress comes from consistency.
From mastering the basics.
From showing up even when it’s not exciting.
From doing swings, squats, presses, and get-ups so many times that your neighbors think you’re training for a kettlebell apocalypse.

Because true mastery isn’t flashy. It’s built quietly.
Technique, strength, and resilience will outlast every 10-minute-of-fame influencer chasing the algorithm like a squirrel chasing a laser pointer. 🐿️

So forget the circus.
Learn the fundamentals.
Do the work.
And keep doing it long after the internet moves on to the next shiny object.

Your future self will thank you.
Your joints will thank you.
And your dentist will definitely thank you. 😁

Pregnancy is one of the most incredible things the human body can do. It’s also one of the most confusing times when it comes to fitness. One minute someone is told to “stay active,” the next minute they’re told to avoid everything. Meanwhile, the internet is full of influencers doing circus tricks at 8 months pregnant. Let’s be honest… that’s not what most moms need. 😅

Pre and post natal personal training is not about six-pack selfies. It’s about helping women move better, feel stronger, reduce pain, support the pelvic floor, and rebuild confidence before and after baby. Done right, it can make pregnancy smoother, recovery faster, and long-term health stronger. This is real life strength, not algorithm strength.

But here’s the catch… this population requires real education. Trainers need to understand breathing, core and pelvic floor health, posture, and how the body changes during and after pregnancy. Good intentions are not enough. Proper certification and continuing education are essential if you want to truly help instead of guess.

Update on our Air Conditioning situation

We know it’s hot in the gym. We feel it too. And we want you to know that we are doing everything we possibly can to manage the situation. We have additional fans arriving and are actively working to keep the environment as comfortable and safe as possible while we search for a real solution.

The truth is, our current HVAC system is no longer repairable. It is obsolete, and replacement parts are no longer manufactured. Every dollar we’ve spent over the past few years has been temporary life support on a system that is now completely beyond saving.

Unfortunately, the building and our landlord have refused to assist or even meaningfully engage in a solution. A full replacement will cost well into the high six figures, which is simply not feasible for a small, locally owned business like ours. After 16 years serving this community, this situation could genuinely threaten our ability to stay open if we cannot reach a fair agreement.

We have proposed contributing a significant portion toward a new system, but the landlord continues to insist that the responsibility is 100% ours.

To those of you who are sticking with us during this time, we truly cannot thank you enough. Your support means everything to our team and to our family. Momentum Fitness has always been a community first and a business second, and your loyalty reminds us why we built this place from the ground up.

To those who have chosen to leave or request refunds, we understand and we are truly sorry. Please know this situation is not the result of negligence or inaction. We care deeply about your experience and your safety, and we are fighting hard behind the scenes to resolve this as quickly as possible.

We remain hopeful that a solution can be reached so that we can continue serving the Upper West Side for many years to come.

When it rains, it pours… literally. 💦

An AC pipe burst in our gym and we’re currently in repair mode, so please excuse our appearance for a bit. What we can promise is that we’re 100% on top of it—just like we ask you to be on top of your health.

As we head into the holiday season, I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for each and every one of you. Your continued support over the past 16 years has meant the world to us. Momentum Fitness isn’t just a gym — it’s a community, a family, and a home for so many of us on the Upper West Side. We’ve had the joy of watching clients grow stronger, build friendships, and even raise families here. None of this would be possible without you.

With Thanksgiving coming late this year, December is already around the corner — and with it, a few updates. 🌿 A little trip down memory lane…

Five years ago, I was fighting to keep our doors open and our story heard as small gyms everywhere struggled to survive the shutdowns. It was one of the hardest chapters of my life and of .

Today, I’m incredibly grateful to say that Momentum Fitness is STILL here, 16 years strong and still a vital part of the Upper West Side community. We’re only here because this neighborhood believed in us, stood by us, and chose to support small, local business.

Now, I’m asking for your help to show that same love to another UWS small business in need. has been a hidden gem and a home for local yogis since 2011. Recently, they suffered a devastating fire that ravaged their studio, and they’re now working hard to rebuild their beautiful space.

At Momentum Fitness, we’re committed to helping this local treasure not just survive, but thrive again. If you’re able to offer any support—sharing their story, showing up, donating, or sending love—the impact will be felt deeply.
