Luk Pra Kob or Thai warm herbal compress massage is a traditional therapeutic treatment that combines the healing properties of herbs with the soothing techniques of massage. This unique healing technique combines aromatic and medicinal herbs into a muslin pouch which is then steamed and pressed into the muscles and joints of the recipient.

This healing practice dates back over 3,000 years and draws from the rich traditions of Thai, Ayurvedic, and Chinese medicine. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn about the healing properties of several herbs, how to make and prepare herbal compresses and how to apply them to the body.

MASTER TEACHER AND THAI YOGA PRACTITIONER, DAVID ROMA , IS COMING BACK TO
THAI BROOKLYN!

I first met David a few years ago as instagram acquaintances and last year, I had the pleasure of meeting him in person during an advanced training I took in October. It was there that I was most struck by David’s effortless style and his wonderfully healing and easeful presence. I couldn’t be more thrilled to host David for a second time and to offer us all this opportunity to learn from him.

In this workshop, David will guide us in offering Traditional Thai Massage with a new approach to the Sen Lines - or energy lines in the body. The goal is to work with the body in a way that resets, supports and removes blockages or holding in the energy centers - freeing up movement, space and possibility.

David has designed this course for anyone new to Thai Yoga Massage as well as to assist current Thai Yoga Massage practitioners in elevating their offerings by focusing on providing deep pressure and release with the least amount of effort.

I cannot say enough amazing things about David’s work. Come and see for yourself. 💫
