The NY Health Act is the only legislation that will generate the savings needed to fill the massive budget hole resulting from federal Medicaid/Medicare/ACA cuts, by reclaiming BILLIONS now wasted on profits for insurance & pharma corporations and the administrative bloat associated with our convoluted, multi-tiered, discriminatory healthcare system.

Fired up from our Flash NY Health Act Teach-Ins on the picket lines with striking nurses yesterday!
It’s time to get free from bosses & insurance corporations pocketing gobs of money while denying us healthcare. The hospital bosses think they can break the nurses’ strike by sowing division & dragging out negotiations. When healthcare is tied to employment it can be weaponized against workers.

We fight back by supporting nurses on the picket line, sharing information about the NY Health Act, and organizing for a healthcare system that treats healthcare as a public good for all, not a commodity or a perk of employment that can be withheld at whim, when too sick or injured to work or when contracts end & workers strike.

Power concedes nothing without a struggle and workers & patients must unite to win - whether it’s safe staffing, fair wages, working conditions and safety or guaranteed universal healthcare for all: the / !

Striking nurses don’t have healthcare right now & need your support! Shout out to all of our doctors, nurses, med students & activists who showed out yesterday to support nurses & lead these teach-ins.
