Nurses are at the forefront of the fight to & to guarantee healthcare as a human right & we have their backs just like they have ours! When we pass the NY Health Act no one will have to negotiate for healthcare ever again or have it pitted against wages on the bargaining table or risk it being withheld when on strike, giving unions maximal leverage to win better pay & protections.

Today we joined to launch their Care Not Corruption campaign, calling for the elimination of private insurance middlemen in home care and reinvesting the money now wasted on their corporate profits into home care wages & care, fair pay for home care workers, ending the PPL monopoly & restoring CDPAP & making the rich pay their fair share.
As we build towards passing the NY Health Act to provide fully comprehensive, publicly funded, universal healthcare - including Long Term Care - for all New Yorkers, we urge Gov Hochul & the NY legislature to pass each of these bills to provide immediate relief for disabled people, home care workers, seniors and caregivers.
