The standard approach to prenatal training tends to be all about what you CAN’T do- but my approach is always about what you CAN (which is actually quite a bit!). Pregnant bodies are extremely capable bodies and the current research shows us that the range of what is safe is actually pretty vast. It’s not actually about changing exercise selection as much as it is about managing pressure and adjusting intensity/volume to the individual. When I was pregnant, my workouts didn’t look all that different from my regular workouts to the outside eye!
In 2026, we’re empowering pregnant folks- not promoting outdated ideas about being weak and fragile. You are, after all, prepping for the biggest athletic event of your life!
