Our Story

Sasighan Prasertsri , LMT, Approved Provider (AP # 792) ​Sasighan or " Sassy " as her friends call her was born in Bangkok, Thailand where she first learned the authentic Thai Massage Traditions. She studied at the Wat Po Traditional Medical School (1999), the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai (TMC) and also at the Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society (Chiang Mai, Thailand) where she also became a Certified Instructor. Sasighan 's prominent Thai massage teachers include Dorkkaew Chumchoei and Wilai Riangpha. Sasighan moved to the United States in 2000, where she realized her comprehensive knowledge and training in Thai massage was unlike any other massage therapist. So in 2005. She became a NY state licensed for Massage Therapist. She then started her own massage business and later became the founder and Director of the Dusnee Thai Spa (AKA Dusnee Thai Massage NYC). Sassy 's desire to spread her knowledge of Thai massage and treat as many people as possible led to her wanting to teach her special authentic style of massage. So in 2015, ​ "Sasighan Prasertsri is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & bodywork(NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider and is also sponsored by NCBTMB to teach New York LMTs continuing education that is accepted by the state of New York for license renewal" . Sassy later also became an adjunct professor at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM-NY) in lower Manhattan (Winter 2016-Fall 2017), where she had lectured Thai Massage courses. ​Sasighan offers Authentic Thai Massage Class NYC which is famous for its authentic Thai massage therapies in the New York City community. ​​​
