SUGAR COOKIE CREAMER 🎄✨

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1/4 tsp almond extract

WHAT TO DO

- combine all ingredients + mix well

COOKIE DOUGH BARK 🍪✨

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 1/2 c almond flour
* 1/4 c maple syrup
* splash of vanilla
* 1/8 tsp sea salt
* 1 1/4 c chocolate chips, divided
* 2 tbsp coconut oil

TO DO

- mix almond flour, maple syrup, vanilla + sea salt
- fold in 1/2 c chocolate chips
- line baking sheet with parchment paper, pour the dough onto the sheet + press til firm to make the bark
- melt 3/4 c chocolate chips + coconut oil, pour over the bark + spread til even
- sprinkle with a little extra sea salt
- throw in the freezer until set, about 1-2 hours
- remove, break into pieces + enjoy

store in an airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer

HOMEMADE HAWAIIAN ROLLS 🍍✨

skip the monocalcium phosphate, sorbitan monostearate + 25 other ingredients in king’s hawaiian rolls and make your own with 7 simple ingredients

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 1/2 c pineapple juice
* 4 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
* 1/3 c honey, divided
* 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
* 2 eggs
* 5 c bread flour (with extra in case needed)
* 1 tsp sea salt

TO DO

- warm pineapple juice over medium heat until warm to the touch (approx 105 degrees)
- in a small bowl, mix juice, yeast, and 1 tbsp honey; let sit 7 minutes
- in a large bowl, mash butter with remaining honey; stir in eggs, then yeast mixture
- add flour and salt, stirring until dough forms; knead on a floured surface for 8 minutes, adding flour if sticky
- place dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat; cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm spot until doubled (1–2 hours)
- punch dough and divide into 16–20 pieces; roll into balls and arrange in a greased 9x13-inch dish or lined baking sheet, leaving space between
- cover and let rise 30 minutes
- preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 22 minutes, until tops are golden; cool slightly before serving

store in an airtight container up to 3 days

POPPIN’ CANDIED CRANBERRIES ✨

when the viral candied cranberries from showed up in my feed (and kept showing up in my feed), i knew i had to try them myself

these are sweet with the perfect amount of tart + an awesome crunch

now it’s your turn to try them!

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 bag fresh cranberries
* 1 can cranberry fizz poppi
* apple juice (or cider)
* powdered sugar

WHAT TO DO

- wash and dry cranberries + remove any soft or mushy ones
- add cranberries to a large bowl + pour in 1 can of cranberry fizz poppi
- top off with apple juice
- cover and refrigerate overnight
- strain + place cranberries in a clean bowl
- add a ridiculous amount of powdered sugar
- cover + shake until each cranberry is thoroughly coated
- preheat oven to 200 and line baking sheet with parchment paper
- bake 5 minutes
- let sit out for a few hours to fully dry

store in an airtight container in the fridge up to 5 days

NON TOXIC LAUNDRY SWAPS 🧺✨

conventional laundry detergents can contain toxic ingredients like sodium lauryl sulfate, phosphates, fragrances, dyes, formaldehyde, 1,4 dioxane + others. in addition to being endocrine disruptors, these ingredients can cause allergies, respiratory issues and skin irritation. and 1,4 dioxane is a potential carcinogen

so skip all the toxins, and try my favorite non toxic option that works great, smells like tide + that even my husband loves!

HOMEMADE GUMMY BEARS ✨

some gummy bears can contain 19 ingredients, including corn syrup, artificial colors and fake flavors. even the organic ones have around 13 and contain seed oils. so skip the store bought options + make your own with 3 simple ingredients!

YOU NEED

* 2 c juice of choice
* 3 scoops grass fed gelatin
* 1/8 c to 1/4 c honey (optional, you can add more or less to taste)

WHAT TO DO

- add juice to the pot
- sprinkle gelatin over the top and let bloom for a few minutes
- stir, add the honey + warm over medium heat until fully dissolved
- let it cool for about 15 minutes before adding to molds, making sure to stir occasionally
- set in the fridge for a couple of hours, then remove from molds + store in airtight container in the fridge

these last up to 2 weeks, but your kids will eat these much quicker!

a few tips:

- use organic juice with one ingredient (ie apple juice with just apples)
- avoid citrus as it can affect the gelatin
- if you don’t have molds, pour into a glass baking dish and cut into squares once set

health benefits:

in addition to being great for gut health, grass fed gelatin is good for your skin, supports your joints and helps with inflammation, metabolism, healthy brain function + sleep

HOMEMADE DELI MEAT ✨

deli meats contain several ingredients that are bad for your health, including nitrates and nitrites, phosphates, processed additives + chemical contaminants

you especially want to avoid nitrates, which are preservatives used in deli meats to prevent bacterial growth and preserve color. when digested, they can convert into nitrosamines which are known carcinogens

but don’t be fooled by meat labeled as “nitrate free”. these meats use natural sources of nitrates, but they can still convert into nitrosamines in the body

in fact, deli meats have even been classified as group 1 carcinogens

and on top of all that, let’s not forget about the recent listeria outbreaks in deli meat 🦠

so next time you’re craving a deli sandwich, try making your own deli meat with 3 simple ingredients instead

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
* 1/2 tbsp salt
* 1 tbsp honey

WHAT TO DO

- add ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth
- coat your deli meat press with some avocado oil spray, then put mixture inside and close the container with the spring, lid + thermometer
- fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil, then place the deli meat press into the pot and let simmer for about an hour, your meat thermometer should read approx 160 degrees
- let cool, place in the fridge overnight, then remove, slice + enjoy!

ONE PAN CHICKEN POT PIE ORZO 🥣✨

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 2 tbsp butter
* 1 onion, diced
* 4 carrots, peeled + sliced
* 5 stalks celery, diced
* 1/4 c flour
* 4 c chicken bone broth
* 2 c orzo, uncooked
* 3 c cooked chicken, diced
* 1 c frozen peas
* 1/2 c heavy cream
* 1 tsp sea salt
* optional: pepper

WHAT TO DO

- in a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter and saute the onion, carrots + celery for about 5-8 minutes, until softened
- stir in the flour and saute 1–2 more minutes
- add broth, stirring to combine + bring to a boil over med/high heat, then stir in the orzo
- reduce heat to a simmer until the orzo is cooked, about 12-14 min, stirring occasionally
- add in the cooked chicken and frozen peas + simmer until heated through
- add in the heavy cream + salt and stir to combine
- add pepper, to taste

PEPPERMINT MOCHA CREAMER ✨

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 c half + half (or creamer of choice)
* 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1/4 c maple syrup
* 1 tsp vanilla
* dash of salt
* 1/8 tsp peppermint extract

WHAT TO DO

- combine half + half and unsweetened cocoa powder and give it a little mix
- then add the rest of the ingredients and shake well

pour over your favorite hot or iced coffee + you’ve got the holidays in a mug (or glass)

SOURDOUGH DISCARD SANDWICH BREAD 🍞✨

i wanted some sourdough sandwich bread, but didn’t feel like waiting a day so used discard instead. it was ready in a few hours + it did not disappoint

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 1/4 c warm filtered water
* 1 tbsp active yeast
* 1 tbsp honey
* 1 tsp sea salt
* 3 1/2 c bread flour
* 3/4 c sourdough discard
* 3 tbsp butter, softened

WHAT TO DO

- combine water, yeast + honey, stir and let sit 5 minutes
- add in salt, flour, discard + butter and mix and knead for 5 minutes, then cover with a damp towel and let proof for 1 hour
- roll up the dough and place in a parchment lined or greased loaf pan seam side down
- cover and let sit for 30 minutes
- while that’s sitting, preheat oven to 350, then bake for 33 minutes
- remove from oven
- remove loaf from the pan and let cool for 1 hour before cutting

HOMEMADE MARSHMALLOWS ✨

you haven’t had a marshmallow until you’ve had a homemade marshmallow

these are super easy to make + the grass fed gelatin is great for gut health, healthy skin, healthy joints and a healthy brain. it also helps reduce inflammation and boost metabolism!

so eat these homemade marshmallows to your heart’s content (and don’t forget to pair with some bone broth hot chocolate)

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

*1 c filtered water, divided
* 1/4 c gelatin
* 3/4 c maple syrup
* 2 tsp vanilla
* 1/8 tsp sea salt
optional: equal parts arrowroot powder + powdered sugar for dusting

WHAT TO DO

- add 1/2 c filtered water to a mixing bowl + slowly sprinkle gelatin on top, let bloom for about 10 minutes
- while that’s blooming, combine 1/2 c filtered water, maple syrup, vanilla + salt into a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat, let boil about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
- remove pot from heat
- start mixing the gelatin with your hand mixer on low + slowly pour in contents from the pot
- increase speed to medium/high for about 6 minutes - you’ll still want it to be pourable, but NOT fluffy (there is a very fine line here, be sure not to overmix)
- pour marshmallow mixture into a parchment lined 9” square baking dish
- let them set at room temperature for about 4 hours, then cut
- optional: dust with equal parts arrowroot powder and powdered sugar to prevent sticking

store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week
