World Yoga Center The World Yoga Center welcomes students of all ages, traditions and backgrounds, at every level of ability. We are very proud of the World Yoga Center.

Through the Yoga practices, students embark on a transformative journey of awakenment while developing bodies that glow with health. Decades after we opened our doors in 1972, we are still here at our original address. Only Yoga has been practiced in our beautiful space and the atmosphere here is unusually pristine and serene. The name ”World Yoga Center” was inspired by the International World Yoga Symposium held in New Delhi, India, in 1970. Our name reminds us that the teachings and practices of Yoga are universal, embrace divisions of East and West, and have become compatible with modern living. Yoga provides transformational knowledge that radically awakens us to the mystery of life. This underlying vision and the deep intention of Yoga sustain the World Yoga Center and drive it forward.

Dear Beloved Community,

The Immersion Program —a transformative journey into the heart of Yoga begins soon!

The program meets one weekend each month for five months, beginning February 20 - June 7, 2026.

The Immersion, open to all students, marks the beginning of a deeper understanding of the core of Yoga. Together, we’ll explore the foundational teachings, deepen our Hatha practice, and connect with the vast and timeless wisdom of the Yoga tradition.

For those who have already experienced this sacred journey, you know the profound impact it can have on our lives. You’ve felt the transmission of wisdom through the teachings and you’ve been embraced by the Sangha — a community that continues to nurture and support long after the program concludes.

Throughout the immersion, expect profound internal shifts as the ancient teachings awaken us and become integrated into our innermost core. These teachings have survived the millennia and are potent in their ability to transform our lives. Supported by the practices, the community and guidance from the teachers, the Immersion becomes an especially powerful path of inner transformation.

Good morning everybody,
it is Sunday morning, January 25th, with storm warnings strongly in place.

Today’s modified schedule:

9AM Open Level, with Susan- in person and online
11AM Open Level, with Rudrani- online only
4:30PM Level 1 with Nancy- currently scheduled to be in person and online
6:30PM Community Class- canceled

Any further changes will be updated on our website schedule page.

Though most of us will not make class in person today, may we enjoy a rich practice from our homes as the snow falls.

May we all be safe in this extreme weather and in these challenging times.

WYC Series: Meet the Mat
Fundamental Series
Four Friday Evenings, 5:30-6:30 pm

Yoga is for everyone! In this workshop series, we will dive deeply into the mechanics of the basic poses and give you an understanding of what an authentic yoga practice entails.

Our approach will allow time and space for breaking down poses (called “asanas”) and exploring the Universal Principles of Alignment that guide Anusara Yoga. With intention and breath weaving through the physical practice, this series intends to establish greater awareness and recognition of the subtler realms that reach the full spectrum of our humanity, the evolution of our consciousness.

This series is designed especially to welcome new practitioners, but is ideal for every level student. Through the 4-week series, you will develop a strong foundation supporting you to continue your practice with greater ease and confidence.

Fridays: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturdays & Sundays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
