A little late to the trend, but these are nutrition propagandas I wonât buy into.
What else would you add?
1. Nootropics: compounds/ supplements to enhance cognitive performance. Ok, coffee is one thing, but taking synthetic compounds or prescription drugs just to clear brain fog isnât a good idea. Taking a stimulant doesnât just work that way and it could be dangerous. Instead, aim for 7-9 hours of sleep nightly, get good nutrition all day, balance your blood sugar, & drink ~64 oz water daily.
2. Fruit is too sugary. Fruit is full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Aim for no more than ~3 Servings daily and balance with protein. (And, no, an orange is not âlike eating a candy bar.â
3. You should detox with a juice cleanse. Your body has natural detoxification abilities through the liver and kidney. Cleanses will just empty your pockets and put you at risk for dehydration and losing electrolytes.
4. Eggs đ„ are bad for your heart: eggs have gotten a bad wrap due to their cholesterol content. The FDA has confirmed that eggs meet their updated definition of âhealthyâ. Eggs have high quality protein, are nutrient-dense, and support overall health. Eggs can be part of a heart healthy diet.
