Alexander Technique For Living with Allyna Steinberg

Alexander Technique For Living with Allyna Steinberg Allyna Steinberg, Certified Alexander Technique Teacher, has practiced for over 15 years and complet Sinai Medical Center. www.AlexanderTechniqueForLiving.com

Allyna learned about the Alexander Technique over 15 years ago from an orthopedist at Mt. She used the technique to relieve pain, reduce anxiety and improve her salsa dancing -- and so much more. Allyna brings the technique to all aspects of her life and can help you do the same. Lessons with Allyna can help you achieve peak performance during your favorite activities, relieve pain, recover or pre

vent injury, improve coordination and balance, and much more. In an Alexander Technique lesson, we look at the body’s design, how students are moving and what students can let go in order to rediscover our natural coordination. Students leave with tools to use in their daily life for noticing and releasing habits of moving and thinking that are not serving them. Private lessons include the most hands-on guidance. Students often feel more ease in their body and mind after just one lesson.

Sapientia Initiative invites you to pay-what-you-can Alexander Technique classes for Black Indigenous and Persons of Color (BIPOC) on 4/15 and 5/6 in the Flatiron District of Manhattan.

Led by Emily Rodriguez and Stephen McLean (The Collective):
In this session, open to all levels, we’ll create a safe and empowering space exclusively for people of color. Led by BIPOC instructors who understand the nuances of our lived experiences, our classes blend the principles of the Alexander Technique with cultural understanding and inclusivity. Through gentle guidance and exploration, we empower individuals to cultivate awareness, balance, and freedom of movement in a supportive community. Following the session, join us for a short meet and greet to build connections and strengthen our community bond. Together, we’ll explore the transformative potential of the Alexander Technique within the context of our diverse identities and experiences.

About The Collective:
The Collective is a group dedicated towards centering the thoughts and experiences of non-white students and practitioners in order to re-envision AT and find new ways of making it truly more inclusive and accessible. It is our hope that the BIPOC community within AT will continue to grow and flourish. We aim to support this effort through connecting within the community, sharing resources, and creating accessible content.
