We are excited to announce that we have added a fourth weekly physician clinic to our offerings, led by Ariana Lott, MD.

Dr. Lott is an orthopedic surgeon with a background in ballet. Her expertise includes minimally invasive and advanced open surgeries of the shoulder, hip, and knee. However, she shares that “most of my patients have symptoms that can be treated without surgery. I will work with you to make a precise diagnosis and then take time to outline your non-operative and operative treatment options.” She completed her residency at NYU Langone as an executive chief resident followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. There, she served as a member of the medical staff for the Pittsburgh Steelers and as an assistant team physician for the University of Pittsburgh football and gymnastics teams. She also trained in hip arthroscopy in France and Switzerland. Dr. Lott has published more than 50 papers on sports-related hip pathology, complex knee injuries, and dance-specific injuries.

Welcome, Dr. Lott!

Our physician clinics, otherwise known as Dance Clinics, offer our patients a chance to be seen for diagnosis, imaging, scripts, and more all in a setting dedicated to dancer patients. Additionally, an athletic trainer is present to further support the patient’s care plan. We accept many insurances and offer financial aid to cover gaps. To be seen by one of our physicians, call us at 212-598-6054.

Dancing Beyond 60 with Strength, Stability, and Confidence

A 2-part professional development course for dancers, dance educators, and healthcare practitioners.

Instructor Spotlight: Gia Salerno, PT, DPT, OCS

“Working with senior dancers is an endeavor very close to my heart, as many of my dance educators throughout my life have been senior dancers. They have an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience, and an ardent drive to continue dancing, teaching, and learning as they advance in age. It feels incredibly rewarding and full circle for me as a dance specialty physical therapist to now be in the role of rehabilitating and guiding this population in their pursuit of dance in any and all capacities as they age.” -Dr. Salerno

Dancing Beyond 60 with Strength, Stability, and Confidence

A 2-part professional development course for dancers, dance educators, and healthcare practitioners.

Instructor Spotlight: Megan Richardson, MS, Dipl, Ac, LAc, ATC

“One thing I truly enjoy about working with dancer patients over 60 is the wealth of wisdom and life experience they bring to each session. Their decades in dance, and in life, have made them incredibly adaptable and curious, always open to exploring new approaches to movement, rest, nutrition, and recovery. I find it inspiring how they continually seek out fresh strategies to support their bodies and artistry as they evolve. Their willingness to embrace change, both physically and creatively, is a constant reminder that growth doesn’t have an age limit. I learn just as much from them as they do from me.” -Megan

Dancing Beyond 60 with Strength, Stability, and Confidence

A 2-part professional development course for dancers, dance educators, and healthcare practitioners.

Instructor Spotlight: Sarah Plumer-Holzman, PT, DPT

“I love working with older dancers as they generally have had incredible life experiences which include witnessing many decades of dance history and a wide range of movement styles. I love seeing how we can use a dancer's experience and knowledge in the therapeutic process. I find that whenever patients are feeling frustration at the limitations of an injury, or age-related changes, it is exciting to play a role in improving their vitality through rehabilitation and their movement potential.” -Dr. Plumer-Holzman
