🇺🇸✨ Happy Memorial Day! Today, we honor our heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Thank you to all who serve!
On 3/7/2024, Karolyn Goodwin's life changed forever. She received a living kidney transplant from altruistic living donor Susan Shelton. Susan was inspired to donate after seeing a social media post on her local community group about the organization 🕊️ DOVE is a non-profit program that aims to increase access to living kidney donor transplantation for US Veterans. It helps find, educate, and support prospective donors, then matches them with veterans registered with DOVE. Karolyn, a retired army vet, was our Team's 36th Veteran living donor kidney transplant recipient. She said, "No one has ever done anything like this for me, and I don't deserve this." In response "It was my honor to say she did deserve this. I thank her for her service and for allowing me to give back through DOVE." - Sharyn Kreitzer, DOVE founder.
