A love letter to - our second home 🤍 Counting down to our next 300hr here at the end of the month 🤸

275 acres of pure magic on Portugal’s Atlantic coast. It’s hard to decide what we love the most about Cocoon, Miia’s famous Panzanella, Chelia our orange cat that loves savasana, jumping into the lake right after morning asana, afternoon naps in the hammocks - the list goes on.

Perhaps what makes Cocoon so special is the space it creates: for connection, for slowing down and appreciating the simpler things. For less time on our phones, and more time for creating lifelong memories 🙏

Here’s the top 5 books every yoga teacher should read. It’s not easy choosing just five, but everyone loves a list, so… 😎

Many of these books are required on our 200hr and 300hr trainings, and we consider these foundational texts to start to understand not just the Yoga tradition as it comes from India, but also an updated model of human anatomy, how we show up in the world (personal & leadership development), and a connection to something bigger than us, to spirit.

Meet Stuart Clark. graduated from the Fig in 2017 & remained a part of the fam mentoring & teaching on our trainings. He now owns a boutique studio in Palma de Mallorca.

It was amazing to catch up with Stuart and to see his evolution as a teacher. With such varied experience, his insights and reflections are invaluable to any aspiring teacher or practitioner 🙏

The Balinese faith is especially unique in that spirituality is threaded into everyday life. All over the streets, there’s offerings, rituals and family temples. The streets are often closed because of a ceremonial burial. God, community and nature are all held in balance.

We’ve led Yoga Teacher Trainings in Bali for over a decade now, and we are honored to return in 2027 ⬇️

The boss! Anton leads our community with love, passion and integrity. He planted the seeds of The Fig over a decade ago and continues to nurture this ever-growing family.

Besides having the most gorgeous hanomanasana, Tony is at the helm of yoga philosophy, mantra, Kriya, meditation & pranayama on both the fig 200hr and 300hr trainings.

The creative legend behind our Instagram (including this one!) Holly is the mastermind behind all our outrageous dancing reels, as well as all the meaningful posts, and spotlights of our wonderful community.

Georgina opened her own studio last year in West Yorkshire, U.K. She is a heart-first leader in the yoga community, and celebrates movement in an intuitive and explorative way. We are super proud of Georgina and grateful to have been a part of her yoga journey.

We welcomed 2026 with our New Years Jungle Party led by and and wow… what an adventure. The vibrant energy and natural beauty of this place always inspires us 🌊

We trekked through the jungle, swam under waterfalls, surfed the waves, and of course practiced some yoga along the way 🤸 We couldn’t have asked for a better group to share it with 🧡
