Ariyah and our Locomotor Training team had a fun and therapeutic visit with some furry and feathered friends at the petting zoo that stopped by St. Mary’s! While enjoying the animals, Ariyah participated in the activity while positioned in a stander, working on weight-bearing through her legs as part of her therapy. Moments like these bring joy, connection, and progress all in one. Way to go, Ariyah! 💙

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a new Occupational Therapy group with our Young Adults called "Community." Led by our dedicated OT, Joanne Agoncillo, this group is designed to help our young adults build independent life skills through hands-on experiences in real-world settings.

This week, the group visited Stop & Shop, where they practiced following a shopping list, locating items, managing money, interacting with store personnel, and bagging groceries. Each outing is a step toward greater confidence and independence, and we couldn’t be prouder of their progress. 💙

Last week, we were thrilled to welcome the Foundation and friends back to St. Mary’s! Since 2013, the Foundation has been a dedicated sponsor of our MDHC Summer Olympic Camp Program for children and young adults with special medical needs. Every summer, their team joins us on-site to participate in activities and spend meaningful time with our kids. We are truly grateful for their generosity and commitment, and we look forward to seeing them again next summer! 💙
