What clients say in session doesn’t always reflect the full weight of what they’re carrying.
With autoimmune illness, so much of the experience is invisible, physically and emotionally.
And without the right framework, it’s easy to miss what’s actually underneath.

This is exactly why specialized training matters.
A CEU course is available to help you better support clients living with autoimmune illness, with more clarity and confidence in your work.

Not every commonly used therapy tool translates well into autoimmune illness work.

“Focus on what you can control” can feel grounding in some contexts—but for clients experiencing ongoing unpredictability, it can fall flat.

This work asks us to move beyond control-based frameworks and into something more nuanced.
If you’ve felt that disconnect in sessions, you’re not imagining it.

Inside my course + book, I break down how to approach these moments differently.

Not every “stuck” moment in therapy is about resistance.
Sometimes, it’s complexity we weren’t trained to name.
When working with clients navigating chronic illness, we’re not just holding emotions—we’re holding:
– grief for a former identity
– fear of unpredictability
– frustration with medical systems
– a relationship with a body that no longer feels reliable
And without a clear framework, sessions can feel unclear… even when you’re doing everything “right.”
This is the gap I help therapists bridge.
If you’re wanting to feel more grounded and confident in this work, my course + book are designed for exactly this. Click the link in my bio to access these resources.

Not every “stuck” moment in therapy is about resistance.

Sometimes it’s about complexity.

When clients are navigating autoimmune or chronic illness, there are layers that don’t always get named right away:
– grief for the body they had
– fear of unpredictability
– frustration with the medical system
– a shifting sense of identity

And if we don’t have a framework for that, sessions can feel unclear—even when we’re doing everything “right.” This is the work.

If you’re wanting to feel more grounded in these moments, the course + book are linked in bio.

If you work with clients navigating chronic illness, you’ve likely felt it— there’s more happening than what’s being said out loud.

These clients are often carrying invisible layers:
physical, emotional, relational, and identity-based.

And while we’re trained to listen…we’re not always trained to recognize what’s underneath.

This is where deeper understanding changes everything.

If you’re wanting to feel more confident in this work, I’ve created a course and have written a book that are linked in my bio.

Most therapists weren’t trained to treat autoimmune illness.

But your clients are already bringing it into the room.
Chronic illness impacts identity, relationships, trauma, and trust in the body—and without the right framework, it’s easy to unintentionally invalidate their experience.

I created a course to change that.

Autoimmune disease is often invisible—but the psychological impact is not.

Many clinicians were never trained to understand what clients are actually experiencing—from pre-diagnosis confusion to post-diagnosis identity shifts.

If you’ve ever felt unsure how to support these clients, you’re not alone.

That’s why I created a course specifically for therapists—so you can show up with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

Pair it with my book: Understanding Autoimmune Disease 📘

Therapists are often asked to help clients navigate chronic illness, autoimmune disease, and invisible conditions — but many of us were never taught how these experiences shape identity, trauma, and relationships.

I created a course to accompany my book Understanding Autoimmune Disease: A Therapist’s Guide to Invisible Illness to help clinicians develop a deeper, more informed approach to this work.

The course is self-paced and offers CE hours upon completion.

You can find the book and course at the link in my bio.

Therapists are often not trained to work with chronic illness or autoimmune disease, yet many clients live with these conditions every day.

My book Understanding Autoimmune Disease: A Therapist’s Guide to Invisible Illness was written to help clinicians better understand the emotional, relational, and identity impact of autoimmune disease.

If you work with adults, couples, or trauma — this applies to your practice.
