Ketamine has emerged as a groundbreaking treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and chronic pain. But while it can be transformative in the right hands, self-administering ketamine at home carries serious risks that could outweigh its benefits.

Dr. Glen Z. Brooks, Chief Medical Director of NY Ketamine Infusions, is generally recognized as the nation’s leading practitioner of Ketamine Infusion Therapy for major depression and chronic pain. Since 2012, Dr. Brooks has treated more than 2,000 patients for major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress (PTSD) and neuropathic pain – more than any other physician. A Board Certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Brooks completed his training at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and taught at Yale University School of Medicine.
NY Ketamine Infusions is a private, outpatient practice located in downtown Manhattan. We provide ketamine infusion therapy, which has been proven effective in treating depression when other treatments have been less successful.
Depression and severe generalized anxiety can be devastating, but there is hope. For 7 years, NY Ketamine Infusions has been treating the most severe cases of depression and anxiety with low-dose ketamine infusions — with tremendous, often life-saving, success!
Citing a recent study, Cleveland Clinic noted that “Within 24 hours of receiving ketamine, 70 percent of patients with treatment-resistant depression saw an improvement in symptoms.” As a result, they designated ketamine One of The Top 10 Medical Innovations for 2017.
If you or someone you love are dealing with a Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) that has not responded to other medication, we may be able to help. Many of you will have tried several SSRIs, SNRIs, Tricyclic or MAOI antidepressants, or even antipsychotic medications. Some of you have undergone ECT and/or TMS with no significant improvement. Chances are that you can no longer function effectively at home, work or school, and find even small tasks — like showering or getting out of bed — insurmountable.
What you are feeling is not simply the short-lived result of one of life’s disappointments.
Severe depression, or MDD, is something quite different, and is more likely associated with feelings of intense sadness, low self-worth, and even thoughts of self-harm or su***de.
This is where NY Ketamine Infusions can help. Numerous studies at world-renowned institutions and over 7 years worth of treatment experience in our offices show that safe, low-dose ketamine infusions alleviates suffering in over 70% of patients. And unlike other anti-depressant medication, which can take 6-8 weeks to take effect, ketamine can begin to work quickly, sometimes after just one or two treatments. Over 2,000 patients thus far have experienced some form of relief from Dr. Brooks’ unique, next-level protocols and compassionate, personalized care.
