Paul Simon teaches us to live through the noise.
He’s our father, our pastor, our resource for both lessons and benedictions.

For 60 years, he has been a voice of calm logic and emotional truth —
reminding us that even in “The Sound of Silence,”
there is wisdom waiting to be heard.

And with his soft steadiness amidst a loud and restless world,
he continues to show us how to live with clarity, heart, and perseverance —
because, like the boxer,
“the fighter still remains.” 🕊️🎶

Happy, happy birthday to a legend —
the heartbeat of Brill-Building-Era America —
Paul Simon.

✨ Robert Redford gave us Hubbell — the man who broke our hearts because he was so easy to love, but never quite brave enough to stay. Barbra Streisand gave us Katie — the woman who never stopped pushing, believing, and loving too much. Forever.

I cannot imagine any other Hubbell. So thankful to Robert Redford for helping us see ourselves in a love story that was never simple, but always unforgettable.

“Your girl is lovely, Hubbell.”

15 YEARS! 👏🏼👂🏼

Thrilled to reunite with this vintage ReSound Alera—dispensed by yours truly FIFTEEN years ago! 🎧💫

This loyal little sidekick served beautifully for over a decade… but now it’s finally time to upgrade.
(We laughed. We cried. We opened the battery door one last time.)

Her next chapter?
✨ Bluetooth compatible
✨ Rechargeable
✨ Sleeker, lighter design
✨ And most importantly—crystal-clear sound, smarter processing & dramatically better noise suppression

We’re recasting the role, changing the costume, and updating the script. 🎭🎶

✨If your hearing aid looks like this… it’s time to recast and modernize your production!

sound booth → safety bunker 🎧➡️🔒

Last night, there was an active shooter just 10 blocks from our office — a stark reminder that in 2025, anything is possible… and everyone needs a plan.

So today, my staff and I ran an active shooter drill. Our plan?
✨ Lock the doors.
✨ Get inside the sound booth.
✨ Drumstick the handle shut. (Yes, really… and yes, it works.)

Our soundproof booth is acoustically sealed — and surprisingly secure. Who knew it could double as a panic room when you add a custom pink drumstick lock system?!

I’m unsurprisingly quirky and theatrical (cue the pink disco balls!) — but risk awareness is serious. Safety for staff, patients, and anyone who walks through the door is always the top priority.

To my NYC friends: stay alert. Stay safe. Have a plan.

Because the show must go on — and sometimes it’s the villain’s scene to steal… so upstage him! (Jazz hands) 💖✨

I’m way more Broadway than metal - I lean more Bette Midler than Black Sabbath. But some voices—some artists—cross genre lines and speak directly to the human condition. Ozzy Osbourne was one of them.

He sang with a rawness that made millions feel something deeply. Behind that voice—tinnitus, hearing loss, and the consequences of a lifetime performing at punishing decibel levels.

“Should have worn earplugs, I guess.”

Widely known that he was fit with Starkey hearing aids, Ozzy remained determined to communicate through sound. And even when Parkinson’s disease—known to impact vocal power, pitch range, and endurance—took hold, he still found a way to sing. To move people. To perform.

The vocal effort required in the presence of Parkinsonism is immense — yet Ozzy pushed through, channeling everything he had into one final expression of artistry.

That resilience?
That need to keep connecting through music?

That’s his legacy.

🕊️ With Reverence 🕊️

Dr. Jack Katz—one of the founding giants of audiology—has passed, and the field feels the silence. His models shaped our assessments. His textbooks shaped our training. His legacy shaped us.

Dr. Dave Fabry always says, “You can tell someone’s age by which edition of Jack Katz’s Handbook of Clinical Audiology they used.”

Now, I usually don’t give away my age…

…BUT MY Katz book is:
Fourth Edition. Pink!!. 🎀

In a way, Dr. Katz helped me start the Pink Pony Club!
(Would he list that as an accomplishment?!)

It’s a reminder that we all stand on the shoulders of giants.
His Buffalo Model.
His SSW test.
His voice in the book we all trained with.

These weren’t just tools. They were gospel.

Dr. Katz’s teachings echo through every generation of audiologists who followed… and will follow still.

Thank you, Dr. Katz. Your sound lives on.

Happy Birthday to a badass woman — ! 🎉💥

Whether she’s leading as the Mayor of Santa Monica, running the iconic Santa Monica Music Center, or advocating for community and arts education, Lana shows up with strength, wisdom, and vision. She’s a powerhouse who balances multiple professional roles, family, volunteer work — and somehow still lifts everyone around her. M

My kind of woman!!

She’s what modern womanhood looks like: bold, brilliant, and never backing down.

ChEARS to Lana — a role model, a connector, and a true force for good. 💪💖🎶

Pride is more than a party — it’s a celebration of love, identity, & freedom. 🏳️‍🌈

I love Pride Month, but Pride Weekend holds something extra. There’s music, laughter, fierce joy, and a kind of freedom in the air that feels sacred. It celebrates something so simple and yet so radical: love.

Nobody should be told they can’t love who they want to love. And everyone deserves to have love in their life — in whatever form it means to them.

People should be celebrated for being their true authentic selves.

I celebrate Pride all year — in my actions, in how I show up for others, how I dress, how I decorate my office (come visit my Pink Pony Club in NYC!). Pride isn’t something I put on. It’s something I live.

I’ve always felt like part of the LGBTQIA+ community — not just standing beside it, but within it. There isn’t a perfect label for that, but I know this: being an ally isn’t passive. It’s active, intentional, and proud.

To all my LGBTQIA+ family: you are loved, seen, and celebrated. 🌈💖

In a time of noise, fear, and fracture, Paul Simon returned to New York not with spectacle—but with stillness. His five-night residency at the Beacon Theatre was not a comeback. It was a reckoning. A “quiet celebration” of a life lived with intention, reflection, and poetry. Somehow, at 83, Paul Simon isn’t just sharing his legacy — he’s still teaching us how to live through the noise. The device-free evening opened with the poignancy of Seven Psalms, a continuous acoustic meditation performed in full without interruption. No clapping. No phones. No distractions. Just listening. Dressed in quiet formality, Simon led us through seven movements that drifted between the spiritual and the intimate, the ethereal and the grounded. The room was so silent you could hear your own breathing—and the soft sobs of people so moved by the message that revelatory tears were inevitable.
