Dryness and Dehydration

Dryness and dehydration of the skin are related but distinct.

✨🧴Dry skin refers to a lack of oil (sebum) in the skin, leading to insufficient lubrication and protection. The skin’s natural oils form a barrier that helps lock in moisture, so when there’s a lack of oil, the skin can feel rough, flaky, or tight.

✨💦Dehydrated skin lacks water, not oil. This means the skin might still produce oil (or appear oily), but it’s deficient in hydration, which can lead to dryness, tightness, and dullness. Dehydrated skin can happen to anyone, regardless of their skin type (dry, oily, or combination).

Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide are great ingredients to treat these conditions.
